West Bengal ITI 2024: A common entrance test for admission into ITI Programme is organized by the West Bengal State Council for Vocational training. Candidates can take admission in various ITI colleges located across the West Bengal state, through the competitive entrance exam held by WB Council for Vocational training. Eligibility Criteria

For applying for the WB ITI which offers the two basic courses that are available i.e. for the E group and M group. Students should fill in the desired criteria for each group. The academic eligibility for admission in the different streams may vary from class VIII pass to class XII pass depending on the selected stream.

• For the E group– Class Eight passed from a recognized school located in West Bengal.
• For M group– Passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination from a recognized board from a school located in West Bengal.
• Students can apply only for one course if he/she will apply for both courses the application form is rejected by the ITI council of West Bengal.
• Age Criteria: the age criteria for the exam appearance have been decided to apply for admission in various ITI colleges across the state. Applicant should attain at least 14 years of age as of 01.08.2024, i.e. born before 01.08.2007.
• There is no upper age limit.
• There is some relaxation in age by the state council for the special students such as Ex-servicemen and Widows.

Application Fee

• In the case of the online application, form candidates have to pay Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- for Kanyashree enrollees)

West Bengal ITI 2024 Selection Procedure

• For E Group trades: On the basis of a Common Entrance Test (CET- 2024)
• For M Group trades: On the basis of marks obtained in Madhyamik or equivalent board examination.
• No separate entrance test will be held.

Admit Card

• The admit card of West Bengal ITI 2024 will be available online. The admit card will also be available on the official website of the exam conducting authority.
• It is important to take Admit Card with you while going to the examination center.
• It will have all the details about the exam such as the date, timing, and venue of the entrance exam.
• The candidate will not be allowed to give the exam, without the admit card.

WB ITI 2024 Result

After the successful completion of the WB ITI Entrance Exam, Candidates can check and download their results from the official website. WB ITI Results will be declared online probably in the month of June 2024.

Counselling Process

The authority will invite the selected candidates for the WB ITI Counseling process, after the announcement of the result, therefor a Choice filling and seat allotment process will be carried out. One can select his/her choice of institutes and trades according to the availability of seats for that particular institute.

West Bengal ITI 2024 Admission Process

• The candidates will be provided a confirmation letter, after successful completion of the counseling process and according to that letter, applicants need to report to the respective Govt. ITI/ JPs / ITC for provisional admission.
• Candidates need to show the original documents of the qualifying exam at the time of admission along with other important certificates such as admit card, copy of seat allotment slip, and merit rank.

Documents to be produced at the time of admission

For M Group

1. Self-attested photocopy of Admit card, mark-sheet, and Certificate of Madhyamik or equivalent examination as proof of age, mark sheet for CBSE internal 10th pass candidates issued by competent Authority.
2. Self-attested photocopy of certificates SC, ST, PH certificate (if any), and Kanyashree enrollee certificate/document.
3. Two colored passport-size recent photographs (To be retained by the ITI).
4. Self-attested photocopy of Aadhar Card and Vocational pass certificate (if any).

For E Group

1. Self-attested photocopy of final mark-sheet of Class VIII, Class VIII Passed Certificate, and photocopy of certificates for SC, ST, PH (if any), Aadhar Card, Vocational pass certificate (if any).
2. Self-attested copy of the Kanyashree enrollee certificate/document.
3. Two colored passport-size recent photographs. (To be retained by the ITI).
