UPTET 2024: Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board conducts UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test), to recruit teachers for various public schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is an annually held State level examination. candidates can apply for the posts of primary teachers (Class I to Class V) as well as secondary school teachers (Class VI to Class VIII) in Uttar Pradesh. Eligibility Criteria
- The age of the applicant must be between 18 Years and 35 Years.
- As per the norms prescribed by the government, the candidates who belong to reserved categories would be given age relaxation.
For Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)
- The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.
- Candidates who are currently studying in the final year of B.EL.ED.
Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are Studying in
- The final year of D.Ed (Specialization) in an institute recognized by RCI.
- 2nd year of BTC/ passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- 2nd year of BTC (Urdu)/ passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- In the final year/ passed a Diploma in Teaching from Aligarh Muslim University.
- Moa’llim-e-Urdu degree holders from Aligarh Muslim University before August 11, 1997 (for Urdu Teaching).
For Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8)
- The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.
- Candidates who have scored 50% marks in intermediate and who are currently studying in the final year or passed B.Ed.
- Candidates who are currently studying in the final year or passed B.S.C.Ed or B.EL.ED.
- Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are Studying in the 2nd year of BTC in an institute affiliated with NCTE
Candidates who have completed their graduation/ post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks or those who have passed or currently studying in
- 2nd year of B.Ed in an institute affiliated with NCTE.
- The 2nd year of L.T. in an institute affiliated with NCTE.
- 2nd year of B.Ed (Specialization) in an institute affiliated with RCI.
UPTET 2024 Application Form
On the official website of UPBEB, the UPTET application form will be available which is ‘upbasiceduboard.gov.in’. Fill in all the necessary details in the application form and upload their scanned photograph and signature. There will be an examination fee which candidates will pay thru credit card, debit card, or net banking. Candidates need to take the printout of the application form and save that for future reference.
Application Fee
- The fees have to be paid either online or offline.
- Online payment can be done by SBI Internet Banking / Debit Cards / Credit Cards/internet banking facility of other banks.
- Offline payment can be made by taking the printout of the e-challan of the SBI bank slip.

Selection Process
- Candidates will be selected based on written examination.
- The Examination will consist of Paper I & Paper II.
- For the primary level (from class I-V): The paper-1 will be conducted.
- For classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level): The question paper-II will be conducted.
Exam Pattern
- UPTET exam is conducted in offline mode.
- Objective type multiple choice questions are asked in the exam.
- Paper 1 is held for the candidates who have applied for the appointment of teacher for class 1 to class 5.
- Paper 2 is held for the candidates who have applied for the appointment of teacher for class 6 to class 8.
- There is no provision of negative marking in UPTET.

UPTET 2024 Admit Card
The admit card will be available on the official website of the exam conducting authority. After the successful submission of the application form, candidates will get the admit card. It will be necessary for all the applicants to take admit card with them at the time of examination.
Result
The result would be announced on the UPTET Website. The notification for the result will be published in the major newspapers of Uttar Pradesh. Official UPTET Answer Key will be released by the end of this year. Candidate can check their result by logging in with their roll number.

UPTET 2024 Eligibility Certificate
- Providing a copy of the UPTET Admit Card and Photo Identity Card, the eligibility certificate can be taken from the district education board.
- UPTET Eligibility Certificate is valid for 5 years.
- Those candidates who qualify in UPTET, and want to apply for the teaching post in schools of Uttar Pradesh, can apply by providing the eligibility certificate.
