UAS Bangalore Ph.D Admission 2022: The University of Agricultural Science, Bangalore (UAS) is one of the few universities in India which provides specialized (UG) and (PG) degree programs in multiple branches of agricultural sciences. UAS offers various programs at UG, PG level and the research level. - Agricultural Economics: A master’s degree in Agricultural Economics
- Agronomy: A possess a master’s degree in Agronomy
- Agricultural Entomology: A master’s degree in Agricultural Entomology / Apiculture
- Crop Physiology: A possess a master’s degree in Crop Physiology / Plant Physiology.
- Agricultural Extension: A master’s degree in Agricultural Extn. / Extn. Education
- Food Science & Nutrition: A master’s degree in Food Science & Nutrition.
- Agricultural Microbiology: A master’s degree in Agricultural Microbiology
- Genetics & Plant Breeding: A master’s degree in Genetics Plant Breeding / Agricultural Botany/ Plant Breeding.
- Plant Biotechnology: A master’s degree in Plant Biotechnology
- Plant Pathology: A master’s degree in Plant Pathology.
- Seed Science & Technology: A master’s degree in Seed Science & Technology / Seed Technology.
- Sericulture: A master’s degree in Sericulture / Agricultural Entomology with a specialization in Sericulture/ M.Sc. in Sericulture.
- Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry: A master’s degree in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry.
- Forestry & Environmental Science: A master’s degree in Environmental Science, M.Sc. (Forestry) with specialization in the disciplines of Forestry from any SAU.
- NRI candidate’s eligibility for Doctoral programs: A master’s degree in the concerned subject of Agricultural Sciences/Technology with a minimum CGPA of 7.00 out of 10.00 is eligible for admission to the doctoral degree. Such candidates shall also enclose a certificate of English language proficiency like ELTS/TOFEL.
- The above qualification should be passed with minimum CGPA of 2.25/4.00 for GC candidates and 2.00/4.00 CGPA for SC/ST candidates
- Candidate should have studied under the Trimester system.
Reservation Criteria
- For candidates belonging to SC/ ST/OBC category: Reservation of seats will be in accordance with reservation policy stipulated by Government of Karnataka
- The candidate will be transferred to General Merit category if seats reserved for the above-mentioned categories are not filled due to non-availability candidates,
- Seats shall be reserved in favor of NRI/Children’s of NRI/ NRI sponsored candidates not exceeding two students per department
- Seats will be reserved for Teachers/Scientists/Officers of UAS University and for physically challenged candidates

- The selection of the candidates for UAS Bangalore Ph.D Admission will be based on their qualifying examination merit and performance in the entrance test.
