Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test is a state level test for the recruitment of the teacher in the state of Telangana for the various post of primary and upper teacher. Department of School Education, Government of Telangana conducts Telangana TET by a computer-based test. Telangana TET 2020 will take place in two parts for two different categories of applicants, one who is applying for the class 1 to 5 teaching eligibility and other who are applying for 6 to 8 classes. The applicants can appear for both the papers or for the one, as per their choice. By implementing Telangana TET, it would bring national standards and benchmarks of teacher quality in the recruitment process; it would induce teacher education institutions and students from these institutions to further improve their performance standard.

Telangana TET 2020 Application Process
For the online application, the candidate must visit the official website of Telangana government, department of school education. It is advised to candidates must read all the details before applying. The mode of application for the Telangana TET is Online and there is no need of sending hard copy of the application. Candidate must create his/her profile on the portal by using valid email id. Here, you must provide personal details. In the next step, candidates must provide educational details such as passed examinations and obtained marks. Now, in the next step candidate must upload scanned images of signature, photographs in the given format.
Telangana TET 2020 Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant must be a citizen of India.
- Upper age limit for Telangana TET is 35 years while minimum age is 18 years.
- Candidate must have domicile of Telangana to get benefit in seat matrix.
For Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5):
- Candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks in the Intermediate exam.
- For the SC/ST/BC category, minimum percentage category is 45%.
- Candidate must have completed B.EL.ED or studying in the final year.
- Candidate must have completed or in the final year of D.Ed (Specialization) in an institute recognized by RCI.
- Candidate must have completed or in the final year of BTC/passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
For Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6th to 8th):
- Candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks in the Intermediate exam.
- For the reserved category students, the minimum percentage criteria are 45 %.
- Candidate must have completed B.EL.ED or studying in the final year.
- The candidate who is in the final year of B.Ed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- The candidate who is in the final year of L.T. in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- The candidate who is in the final year of B.Ed in an institute affiliated to RCI.
Application Fee
- Candidate must pay the application fee, the application fee for Telangana TET is Rs.200.
Exam Pattern:
For Paper 1:
- There will be total 150 multiple choice questions in Telangana TET 2020.
- The duration of the Exam is 2:30 hours.
- There is no provision of negative marking
