Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates, those appearing in the final year of the exam are also eligible.
For M.Tech/ ME/ M.Arch/ M.Plan
- Pass Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.
- Secured minimum 50% marks (45% for the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories)
- Have a GATE Score Card
For MCA
- Pass Bachelors’s degree of minimum 3 years with mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.
- Secured at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates)
For MCA (Lateral Entry)
- Pass a Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc (Computer Science/Information Technology), BCA with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.
- Secure at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST).
For MBA
- Pass Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years.
- Qualified with 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates)
TANCET 2023 Application Form
The TANCET Application form will be available online on the official website. The application fee can be paid through Credit/Debit card/ Internet banking. Candidates are required to fill the application form with the right information in the required fields. Candidates are also required to upload their scanned images of photo and signature in the required format. Other State candidates can appear for the entrance test, but the eligibility conditions will be fixed by the admitting authority / University. Take the printout of the application form for future reference at the end.
Application Fee
- Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode only.
- Candidates have to pay Rs. 500 for any one of the programs.
- The fee will be Rs. 250 for SCA/ST/SC category.
Exam Pattern
- The duration of the exam will be about two hours.
- The question will be of multiple type questions.
- A total of 100 questions will be asked in the examination.
- One mark will be allotted to the candidates for the correct answer.
- For the incorrect answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
- In ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M. Plan section, PART I & II is compulsory.
- PART III according to the discipline selected during registration.

Admit Card
- Candidates have to download the hall ticket through online only.
- Hall ticket will be available in the month of March 2023.
- The admit card is necessary at the time of the Entrance Test and at the time of Admission.
Result
- The candidate may get the result by entering the user ID & password on the official website.
- The result will be available in the month of May 2023 online.
- Within 10 days from the date of publication of results of the entrance test, the mark sheets shall be available on the website by the candidates.
- The mark sheet should be produced at the time of admission.
TANCET 2023 Counselling
- The counselling will be started in the month of July 2023.
- To get admission into Anna University, Government, private and Self-financing Colleges in Tamil Nadu, candidates, those pass the TANCET 2023 exam have to appear in the counselling process.
- After the declaration of the result, the counselling procedure will take place.
- The admission will be based on the marks secured by the candidates in the examination.

Syllabus
- MCA: Quantitative ability, Analytical reasoning, Logical reasoning, Computer awareness, Verbal ability and Basic sciences.
- MBA: Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning.
- ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan: Part I (Engineering Mathematics), Part II (Basic Engineering & Sciences), PART III (As per the discipline selected (Chosen Subject)).
