RGIPT Admission 2023: RGIPT (Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology) is an autonomous Institute under the Aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. The institute is located at Jais, Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, India, and has been set up through an Act of Parliament in the year 2007. It conducts admission in various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctorate courses through RGIPT Admission 2023. Admission to B. Tech for the year 2023 will be done through JEE Advanced score. For a Ph.D., it does not conduct an Entrance Examination for any course.

RGIPT Admission 2023 Application Form
Candidates should check the eligibility criteria for every course before they fill the application form of RGIPT Admission 2023. The application form for the various courses should be filled on the official website of RGIPT only. Proceed with registration and application. The application fee can be paid however both in Online or Offline format. For MBA, the eligible candidates can fill the Application form and take multiple prints out of the filled-in Application form. Candidates should send the copy of payment (NEFT transaction) /Demand Draft and other necessary documents to the MBA Admission office by the designated date.
Eligibility Criteria
For B.Tech
- The admission will be purely on the basis of JEE Advanced 2023 Rank list.
- Candidate to attend JEE (advanced) for admission to this program.
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 60% of aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/physically disable candidates).
- Candidates having color blindness are only eligible for Chemical Engineering and not for Petroleum Engineering.
For MBA
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50%.
- He\She must be holding a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% score.
- A candidate must have also appeared in at least CAT, XAT or GMAT.
PhD
- An equivalent Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in the applied discipline of the program is required.
- Candidate must be having a Bachelors and master’s in chemical Engineering only.
Reservations and Seat Allocation
For MBA
- Reservation policy will be applicable as per the Government of India’s directives.
- Seat allocation to the various categories (SC, ST, and General) is in accordance with the Government rules.
- As Notified by the Government, All SC/ST/OBC candidates are required to submit the certificate.
- And, the Physically Handicapped candidates are required to submit a certificate from the Authorized Hospitals.
- The percentage of Disability will be duly verified by the Chief Medical Officer/Medical Board of the Institute.
PhD & B.Tech Reservation
- Reservation policy as per the GOI directives will be applicable.
- Candidates must submit the certificate for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD.
Admission Process
- B.Tech: Admission to B.Tech courses will be provided on the basis of JEE Advanced Rank.
- MBA: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the following criteria:
