REET 2023: It is held by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (BSER). For the recruitment of Level I or Primary Teachers and Level II or Upper Primary Teachers, the state-level RTET/REET test is held. REET will be held for 32,000 positions, according to several media outlets. Those who pass REET will be allowed to teach in grades 1-5 and grades 6-8.

Points to Remember

  • RTET Admit Cards will be distributed one week before the test; candidates may get their admit cards from the BSER’s official website. Widows can now change their marital status on their REET application. (Only for widows during covid)
  • The female widow applicants’ REET application correction window opened on July 7 and will stay open through July 14.
  • Immediately after the assessment procedure is done, the RTET result is published. All qualified candidates will obtain RTET certificates and will be eligible to apply for teaching jobs in Rajasthan institutions according to the order of the ranking.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the REET 2023 test, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Primary Teacher

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks.
  • Passed two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or appearing in the final year.
  • Passed/Appearing in the final year of four years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Passed two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) or Appearing in the final year.
  • Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of a two-year Elementary Education diploma program.

Upper Primary Teacher

  • Passed two-year Diploma (Elementary Education) or appearing in the final year.
  • Passed/enrolled in a 1-year Bachelor of Education program with a minimum of 50% marks (B.Ed).
  • Passed/enrolled in a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program in conformity with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations stipulated in this respect.
  • Passed/ appearing in the last year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Passed or enrolled in a one-year B.Ed. program with a minimum of 50% marks (Special Education).

Exam Pattern

 Primary (Level-I)

  • Total 150 questions are there, each question is of 1 mark.
  • Time Duration: 150 minutes
  • 30 questions will be given from each subject.
  • Subjects: Child development & Pedagogy, Mathematics, Language I, Language II, Environmental Studies.

Upper Primary (Level-II)

  • Total 150 questions are there, each question is of 1 mark.
  • Time Duration: 150 minutes
  • 30 questions will be given from each subject except Science, Mathematics or Social Science, where 60 questions will be asked.
  • Subjects: Child Development & Pedagogy, Language – 1 (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi), Language – 2 (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi), Science & Mathematics OR Social Science.

REET 2023 Selection Procedure

To pass the RTET, an applicant must go through the following steps of the selection procedure:

  • RTET Application form: On the BSER’s official website, aspirants should first fill out an online RTET application form. After filling the application and providing all needed information, students must deposit the RTET application cost digitally.
  • RTET Admit card: Candidates may get their RTET Admit Card from BSER’s official website one week before the test. The admit paper contains all essential exam details, including the day, hour, and place of the test center.
