PSTET 2023: Punjab School Education Board organizes PSTET to recruit eligible teachers. Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test is a state-level test for such candidates who want to be a teacher.  Candidates can make a career in this profile after completing their graduation in any stream. Candidates will get the job in Punjab State after qualifying for this examination. On the basis of this test, candidates are recruited as Primary Teacher for classes 1st-5th and 6th-8th in Schools run by Government and Private management. The Punjab Education Recruitment Board (PSEB) has released the ETT exam date for the Punjab Elementary Teachers Training Recruitment 2022. The Punjab ETT Exam Date 2022 is 5th March 2023. The recruitment process will be held for 5994 Posts.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be Indian having domicile of Punjab
• The minimum age of the candidates must be 21 years and the maximum age must be 35 years as on January 1, 2023.

For Classes I-V (Primary Stage)

Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with a required percentage of marks and passed or appearing in the final year of

• 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known). OR
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
• 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
• 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR

Candidate must have passed Graduation with a required percentage of marks and passed or appearing in the final year of

• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known).

For Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Candidate must have passed Graduation with a required percentage of marks and passed or appearing in the final year of

• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known). OR
• 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
• 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
• 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education). OR

PSTET 2023: Application Form

Candidates can apply via Online /Offline mode by filling up the application forms. To fill the application form open the official site at – www.tetpunjab.com. The applicant needs to fill all the necessary required details, upload photos, signatures. Find and click on the link to Apply Online and fill all the required details in the given application form. Pay the application fee in online mode. Recheck the application form before the final submission. Take a printout of the filled form and keep it with you for further use.

Selection Procedure

Category I

• It is conducted in terms of checking the eligibility level of all candidates.
• Then they are recruited in lower primary level teaching jobs.
• Teachers will be allowed to take up classes from first to fifth, with valid scores.

Category II

• It is conducted to all aspiring students and then they are appointed as eligible Upper Primary level teachers.
• After passing this examination, candidates are appointed as eligible teachers and they can take up classes from standard sixth to eighth.

Category III

• Candidates who are mainly passed this category III Examination will be appointed as eligible teachers in all recognized schools under the state government of Punjab.

PSTET 2023 Admit Card

Students need to visit the official portal of the examination directing authority. The candidate should download the admit card after registration. PSTET 2023 Result

• Students can get his/her results from the official portal of the Punjab School Education Board.
• To qualify in the PSTET examination, Students have to score at least 60% or more marks in the PSTET examination.
• Students belonging to ST/SC/OBC/Differently Abled category can have an advantage as relaxation in marks with 5%.
• Sometimes OBC category candidates of the Punjab State Government will also obtain the eligibility criteria.
• Candidates have to follow all rules and regulations and only based on their marks secured in this examination do they attain eligibility of becoming teachers under the Punjab state government in related classes.
