The exams at Panjab University are conducted on a Semester basis. The semester system and organization of exam for different courses is given below:
- At the university, the semester exams for undergraduate programs are conducted in September-October.

Panjab University was established in 1947 but it basically originated in 1882 in Lahore (Pakistan). Hence it is one of the oldest universities that India has. In 1947, when India underwent partition, Panjab University also was divided into parts.
