NIOS 12th Application Form 2024: The NIOS is going to start the application process on its official website. Students can register themselves from September – January. Candidates are advised to fill the application form before the due date to avoid a late fee as a penalty. NIOS conducts admissions twice a year for senior secondary levels. The remaining details regarding NIOS Admission 2024 are given below:

NIOS 12th Admission 2024

The NIOS Admissions usually happen on the same dates every year. This year’s schedule is given below:

Eligibility Criteria

Secondary or Class 10th

Students must have cleared Class 8th and the minimum age of the student must be 14 years.

A candidate is required to give a self-certificate stating “I have studied enough to be able to pursue secondary course” is also eligible for admission to the NIOS Secondary Course.

A candidate who had studied at the secondary level is also eligible to apply for NIOS Admission 2024.

Higher secondary/class 12th

The minimum age required for the student to take admission in the Senior Secondary (12th) Course is 15 years as of 31st January 2021 (born on or before 31/01/2004).

The candidate must have cleared the Secondary course from a recognized Board.

NIOS 12th Application Form 2024

 Candidates are required to follow these steps in order to fill NIOS 12th registration form:

  • Visit the official portal of NIOS – www.sdmis.nios.ac.in.
  • Register if you are a new user.
  • Fill in all the details required in the registration form.
  • Upload all the necessary documents
  • Pay the registration fee.
  • Save the registration form for future use.

Documents Required

  • Candidate’s Recent Passport size photograph
  • Signature
  • Valid identity proof (like Aadhaar Card or Passport or Ration card or etc.)
  • Proof of Date of Birth (like Aadhaar Card, Birth Certificate, etc.)
  • Proof of Residence (like Aadhaar Card with complete address printed on it, valid Passport, etc.).
  • Address proof i.e. Aadhaar Card/Water Bill/Electricity Bill/Voter ID/Ration Card
  • Candidate’s Passport/Statement of Operational Bank Account/Appointment Letter from the Employer on Printed Letter Head, if living in rented accommodation – a copy of any proof of permanent address along with present Rented Agreement.
  • Class 8th mark sheet (in case of secondary course) or class 10th mark sheet (in case of senior secondary course)
  • Applicant’s Social category/Caste certificate (in case the learner belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category). Ex-serviceman certificate (in case he/she is an Ex-serviceman)
  • Applicant’s Disability certificate (in case he/she is having any kind of disability).
  • Fail Mark sheet of previous Board, failing which Transfer of Credit (TOC) marks will not be updated in NIOS result.
