Eligibility Criteria
For B. Des/GDPD Course
- Passed or are appearing for the 12th level in Science, Commerce, Arts streams or its equivalent from a recognized board/university are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who have done 3 years full-time diploma after their 10th approval by AICTE are also eligible to apply.
For M. Des Course
- A Bachelors’s degree of minimum four years/Bachelor’s degree or 3 years in any stream/Full-time diploma of minimum 4 years of duration in design/ fine arts/ applied arts/ architecture after 12th level to be eligible.
NID DAT 2023 Application form
The interested applicants can apply online for NID 2023 from the official website of the institute. The application form has been released from the 1st week of October 2022. The applicants are advised to go through the information brochure thoroughly before they the start application process. They also need to upload the scanned images of their photograph & signature in the specified format. The applicants also have to pay the application fee to complete the application process. If an applicant is paying the application fee through Demand Draft (DD) then he has to send the printout of his application form along with DD before on or before the last date at this address-

The application fee can be paid either through debit/credit card or through DD. The application fee for different courses is as follows-

Examination Pattern
- There will be only one paper in DAT (Design Aptitude Test).
- The duration of the examination will be 3 hours.
- The question paper will be available in English.
- The question paper will have MCQ type & subjective type questions.
- There will be a total of 100 marks.
- The studio test will be scheduled in the English language & will have a total of 100 marks.

Examination Syllabus
There is a fixed examination syllabus for NID 2023. However, the applicants can be prepared on these topics- Composition, creativity, communication skills, drawing skills, general mental ability, sensitivity to environment & subject of design. The studio test consists of different sections in different formats such as hands-on practical assignments, group discussions, etc.
Cut-offs
The scores of the last applicants in the 1st merit list will be considered as the cut-offs for NID 2023. There will be few relaxations in the cut-offs for reserved categories which is as follows-

NID 2023 Admission Process
The applicants will get admission in NID 2023 based on their performance in the entrance exam, studio test & personal interview. The applicants need to report to their respective campuses for admission. They also have to obtain their original documents for verification & have to pay the required fee. In case an applicant fails to obtain the original certificate or payment, the admission of that applicant will be liable to cancel.
