Eligibility Criteria
- Those who wish to apply for any PG course must have a graduate degree in the respective subject in any discipline concern as set by the University, which is subject to change by the university.
- Those who wish to apply for any Ph.D. course must have a master’s degree in the respective subject.
NEHU Application Process 2023
- Students must fill & submit the North-Eastern Hill University Application Form
- North-Eastern Hill University 2023 Application Form Last Date will be extended for All Courses.
- From the Registrar office of NEHU in person and make the payment of a fee.
- Keep the printed copies of the NEHU Application Form and all other information such as acknowledgment slip and fee payment Chalan, migration, TC for prospect reference.
- To apply first register them on the official homepage of the University website.
- Students who wish to apply for North Eastern Hill University, Shillong campus online need to pay online only.
- Students may easily get registered by following instructions.
- Form for each course will be available on the university website and candidates must visit the web-portal to fill NEHU Application Form
Here are the steps to apply
- Visit the website of the university
- On the home page, students are advised to press on “Online Admission” link
- Students need to register by entering their Name, DOB, and Email ID
- Dear viewers you will get an Id and Password to log into your account
- Fill NEHU Application Form with valid information
- Make the payment online
- The fee should be paid online using a Debit/ Credit card and Net Banking of HDFC or SBI Bank
- Submit NEHU Application Form application form
- Take a hard copy and submit it to the concerned section at the time of admission.

NEHU Application Fee
- Students need to fill up the online admission form of the University on payment of Rs.800/- and Rs.400/- ( for SC/ST category)
- For the Ph.D. program Rs.500/- and Rs. 250/- (For SC/ST).
- Modes of Payment
- Payment of application fee can be done through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking through SBI and HDFC Bank.
NEHU Admission Process
Admission will be candidates’ merit in the qualifying examination and thereafter Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds will also be organized.
