Kerala SET 2024: LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram conducts Kerala State Eligibility Test (Kerala SET 2024 for the candidates to be selected as Higher Secondary School Teachers and Non-Vocational Teachers in VHSE. For appointment as Higher Secondary School Teachers in the State, a pass in the Kerala SET 2024 is stipulated as a mandatory requirement as per the Special Rules in force.

Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for Kerala SET 2024, a Master’s Degree in the subjects concerned with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade will be the required qualification.
- A B.Ed. degree in any discipline from any one of the universities in Kerala or from any other university recognized as equivalent will also be the required qualification.

- Candidates having D.L.Ed./LTTC in Arabic, Urdu, and Hindi but do not have B.Ed Degree are also eligible.
- Candidates are not eligible if having Correspondence Courses/Open Universities which are not recognized by any one of the Universities in Kerala.
- Recognized correspondence courses/Open universities candidates are eligible.
- SC/ST category candidates shall be granted a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum marks.
- No age limit is prescribed for candidates appearing for the SET.
Kerala SET 2024 Application Fee
- Candidates will be required to submit the application form and fee online mode.
- The mode of payment shall only be paid through online mode.
- The application fee shall be 750/- for General/OBC candidates.
- The application fee shall be 375/- for SC/ ST/Differently abled candidates.
- The candidates can pay the examination fee either by credit/debit card/Net Banking or other modes provided on the website.
- Cash/Money Order/Cheques will not be accepted.
- The application fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Exam Pattern
There will be two papers in KSET 2024. Paper-I consists of Aptitude in Teaching and General Knowledge while paper-II is prepared from the subject of the candidate in his/her post-graduate level.
Paper-I:
- There will be a total of 120 questions in Paper-I.
- It will be divided into two parts as A and B.
- Each section comprises 60 questions.
- For every correct answer, the candidate gets one mark.
Paper-II:
- It also has 120 questions and every correct answer will be given one mark, except for Statistics and Mathematics
- Around 80 questions will be asked in Mathematics and Statistics where each correct answer will be rewarded a 1.5 mark.
The total time duration set for papers I and II will be 120 minutes. All questions asked in KSET 2024 shall be objective type.
Qualifying marks:
- A general category candidate requires 40 marks for both papers separately to qualify for the Kerala SET 2024.
- For OBC/ physically challenged/ST/SC candidates, the qualifying score is 35.

- Original of the Caste/Category certificate of the candidate eligible for a relaxation of minimum marks for a pass.
