Karnataka PGCET 2023: Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) is a gateway for the candidates who want to take admission in master’s degree courses in various colleges/universities in the state of Karnataka. It is a state-level entrance examination. The exam will be conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority. Eligibility criteria
- Candidates of Karnataka and non-Karnataka for (MBA/MCA) can apply.
- OBC and (SC/ST/Category-I) apply to Karnataka candidates only.
- All the Candidates of Karnataka state should have the domicile of Karnataka and appearing candidates can also apply.
For MBA
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree of a minimum of three years with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ Category-I of Karnataka candidates).
- Part-time: Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years (+) 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ Category-I of Karnataka candidates) (+) must have worked for not less than 3 years.
- Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka candidates.
For MCA
- Full-time: Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree in Math/ Stats/ Comp. Sci./ Comp. App./ Comp. Prog./ Business Math/ Business Stats (any one subject) with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ Category-I of Karnataka candidates).
- Lateral Entry: Bachelor’s Degree in BCA/ B.Sc(I.T./ Comp. Sci) (+) Math in 10+2/ Graduate level with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ Category-I of Karnataka candidates)
For ME/ M.Tech./ M.Arch
- Applicant must have a Valid GATE Score (OR) Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years (+) 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ Category-I of Karnataka candidates).
- Part-time: Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years (+) 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ Category-I of Karnataka candidates) (+) must have worked for not less than 3 years as of July 31.
- Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka candidates.
Karnataka PGCET 2023 Application from
Candidates must carry all the personal details of like name, date of birth, category, gender along with exam center address, date, duration, and time of the exam. Candidates should fill Karnataka PGCET Application Form with all care as per the course and Fill the application form carefully may be the authority will not provide any correction facility. All the candidates have to upload their scanned photograph, signature & Left-hand Thumb Impression (JPEG format).
Application Fee
- The application fee will be Rs. 650/- for General and OBC.
- For SC/ST or Category-I of Karnataka state only will be Rs. 500/-.
- The application fee can be paid through challan deposited and all the candidates can also pay the application fee in e-payment post offices.
Exam Pattern
- The exam will be organized through offline mode.
- The question paper will be published in the English language only.
- The question paper will be of 100 marks.
- 150 minutes will be provided for the whole exam.
- It will consist of Multiple Choice Questions.
- There will be no negative marking.

Karnataka PGCET 2023 Counselling
All the Candidates need to be present at the time of Karnataka PGCET Counselling in the specified date and time. Counseling will be started in the first week of September 2023. Candidates are required to attend the counselling on the given dates with the documents given below.
Documents Required for Counselling
- Self Attested Character Certificate from the school last attended.
- Passport size photographs.
- Six Passport size photographs.
- Class 10 and 12th Mark Sheet & passing certificate issued by a recognized Education board.
- Candidates must have to carry a qualifying exam mark sheet or SSLC/ PUC mark sheet.
- Transfer Certificate.
- Carry all certificate
- A printed copy of the Result of the Entrance Examination.
- Admit card issued for the entrance exam.
