UPSC has released the dates for ESE (Engineering Services Examination). The online application process is going to start on 6th September 2023 to 29 September 2023. and the preliminary examination will be held on 18th February 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must have done B.E, B.Tech, or passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India)
• A degree/diploma in Engineering from some government-recognized foreign university, college, or institution is also required.
• Any candidate passed the Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India
• Candidates, who have passed the Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of the Electronics and Telecommunication of Engineers of India
• Passed the Graduate Membership Examination from the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London took place after November 1959

UPSC ESE 2024 Application Form

The candidates are required to fill out the Application Form for UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2024 as per the required details. The Application Form will be available on the official website. Aspirants must check carefully the entire form before submission. Scan the recent photograph and signature and upload them to the application form. Pay the application fees at any branch of SBI after taking the printout of the challan. The system of online applications creates a unique registration number for each applicant. The candidates should fill in the challan number along with the registration number and press enter to complete the task. At last, don’t forget to take the final print.

Application Fee

• The application fee is 200 INR for General and OBC candidates.
• The candidates belonging to SC, ST, PH, and females are exempted to pay the application fee.
• Payments can be made online by credit card, debit card or internet banking can be used for the payment of application fees in the online mode.
• Payments can also be made offline by e-challan via any branch of SBI can be used.

Selection Procedure

• Candidates qualifying Stage I will be permitted to appear for Stage-II examination.
• Only those Candidates qualifying both the Stage – I and Stage – II will be selected for Stage – III examination.
• The qualifying candidates of Stage I + Stage II + Stage III will be included in the Final Merit List of Engineering Services Exam.

Cut Off

• At the time of the result declaration for the ESE 2024 Preliminary exam, the IES exam 2024 cutoff marks for the Preliminary stage will be disclosed.
• The cutoff marks are mandatory to secure in the exam.
• To get shortlisted for the IES mains exams, candidates have to get more marks than the cutoff.
• We can estimate the cut-off can be a range between 180-300 for all the fields.
• All the cutoff scores will be published on the official website as the results are declared.

UPSC ESE 2024: Important Points

• The admit card can be downloaded from the official website.
• The admit card for the Preliminary examination will be released before the exam.
• The Main exam hall ticket will be issued to those candidates who clear the preliminary examination.
• The admit card is mandatory for each candidate to carry the admit card to the examination center.
• Candidates cannot enter the examination center without an admit card.
• The IES Mains Result 2024 will be declared on the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in.
• All the aspirants can check their results by the roll number.
