SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria — Age, Qualification, Nationality
The SSC CHSL eligibility criteria are prescribed by the exam conducting body, Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The applicants are required to meet the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria to be eligible for the recruitment process. If any candidate fails to meet the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria will be disqualified from the recruitment process. Relaxation in the upper age will be provided to the candidates as per government rule but those candidates must submit requisite certificate from the competent authority, in the prescribed format. The candidates who submit the application form successfully and will satisfy the SSC eligibility criteria.
SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria: Nationality/Citizenship
A candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications
- Candidates, applying for the recruitment exam, must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized Board.
- The appearing candidates, who will get the educational qualification certificate from their respective Board/University, are also eligible for the appearing in the recruitment exam.
SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit
- Candidate must be aged between 18 to 27 years.
- Candidate must be born between 2 August 1987 and 2 August 1996.
- Class X passing certificate or the date of birth certificate will be used, as a proof of age.
