SSC CGL 2020 Admit Card
- There will be separate admit cards for each Tier of SSC CGL.
- The Commission will release the Admit Card from the official website of SSC.
- The Admit Card for Tier I will be tentatively released in the month of August.
- To download the Admit Card, the candidates can follow these steps.
Steps to Download SSC CGL Admit Card 2020
- Go to the official website i.e. ssc.nic.in
- Select the admit card tab and get redirected to your region.
- Then choose SSC CGL Admit Card and click on it
- Fill the details in the page like name of the candidate and registration no.
- Click on the submit button
- Your admit card will be appear on the screen
- Save the admit card for future use.

Exam Centers
- The applicants have to fill the choice of their centers while applying for the application form.
- The Exam Centers are segregated into 9 main regions of the country and the exam will be conducted in 120 cities across India.
- The Commission reserves the right to make a decision regarding the final allotment of Exam Center.
- The candidates will know the final allotted Exam Center in the admit card.
Entry to exam centre:
- For the first session the entry will only be allowed between 8:30 am to 9:30 am
- Exam will start at 10:00 am.
- Beyond 9:30 am, no entry will be allowed in the examination hall.
- For the second session the entry will be allowed only from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm.
- Entry will not be allowed in the examination hall for this exam session beyond 12:45 pm.
- For Third session the entry will be allowed only from 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm.
- Entry will not be allowed in the exam hall for this session beyond 3:45 pm.
Exam Pattern
Tier-I
- It will be 1-hour long examination with a total of 200 marks.
- The Tier I of SSC CGL 2020 will be a computer-based test (CBT).
- Negative Marking: 1/2 (0.50) marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Tier-II
- It will also be a Computer-based test, similar to Tier I.
- The paper I and Paper II are Compulsory for all posts.
- Paper III is meant only for the post of Statistical Investigation.
- Paper IV is meant for the post of Assistant Audit Officer.
- A deduction of ¼ marks is made in the case of Paper II for wrong answers, while it is ½ marks in case of Paper I.

Tier-III
- The tier III exam will be a 1-hour long descriptive test.
- It will be done in Pen/paper mode.
- Candidates who successfully clear Tier I and Tier II can appear for Tier III.
- Candidate will be asked to write an Essay or letter or Precise in English or Hindi.
Tier-IV (Only for the post of Tax Assistant)
- The exam is also called Data Entry Skill Test (DEST).
- It will be a computer proficiency test wherein the candidates will be tested for typing speed.
