NDA 2020 Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, Pattern

NDA 2020UPSC is the examination authority for NDA (a national level examination) to recruit eligible applicants in Indian Defence Forces that includes Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the NDA exam in various cities across the country. The examination is scheduled twice in a year, NDA (I) in the month of April and NDA (II) in the month of September. NDA 2020 Application Form

  • NDA 1st Exam Application Process will be started in January 2020. and Examination will be held in the month of April 2020.
  • NDA 2nd Exam Application Process will be started in June 2020. and Examination will be held in the month of September 2020

NDA 2020 Important Dates

For NDA I:

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

The applicants must be an Indian citizen or a subject of Bhutan/Nepal/Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to become a permanent resident of India.

Age limitation

  • Only unmarried male applicants can apply for NDA 2018.
  • For NDA (I), the applicants should not be born before 2nd July 2001 & not later than 1st July 2004.
  • For NDA (II), the applicants should not be born before 2nd January 2002 and not later than 1st July 2005.

Educational Qualification

  • For Air Force & Naval Wings of National Defence Academy & for 12th Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy– The applicants should have cleared 12thstandard or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics from any state education board or university.
  • For Army Wings of National Defence Academy– The applicants should have cleared 12th standard or equivalent examination organized by any State education board or university.
  • The applicants who are appearing in 12th standard or equivalent can also apply for NDA.

Application Fee

  • The applicants also have to pay the application fee to confirm their candidature.
  • The application fee for General & OBC categories is Rs. 100/-.
  • The application will be exempted for SC/ST and sons of JCOs/NCOs/Ors.
  • The fee can be paid through online (via net banking/master/debit card).
  • The fee can also be paid through offline (via cash in at any branch of SBI) mode.

Steps to Fill the NDA 2020 Application Form

Documents/Details Required:

  • Payment details.
  • Valid Email ID and Mobile Number.
  • Personal, qualification, guardian and communication details.
  • Scanned signature. The signature should be made with the black ink pen on white paper in jpg format and meet the 110 pixels height x 140 pixels width dimensions with sized should be between 1KB to 40kb.
  • Scanned photograph with 140 pixels height x 110 pixels width. The image should be in jpg format and the image size should be between 3kb to 40kb.

Candidates can follow these simple steps to fill the NDA 2020 application form:

 Step-1: Registration Part-I & Fill Application Form:

  • Visit the official website of UPSC.
  • Click on the link “Online application for various examinations of UPSC”.
  • Click on the link “Part-I registration.
  • Read the instruction carefully and click on “Yes” button.
  • The application form will appear on the screen.
  • Fill the personal details, qualification and address details.
  • Click on the “Continue” button after filling all the details.
  • Choose the branch preference and click on “Continue” button.
  • The filled application form will appear on the screen.
  • Check all the entries and click on “I Agree” button.
  • The registration number will be generated.
  • Note down the registration number for future use.

 Step-2: Registration Part-II & Fee Payment

  • Click on the link “Part-II Registration”.
  • Enter your registration ID and DOB and click on “Submit” button.
  • Click on “Payment” option.
  • Make the fee payment through debit card, master, visa or net banking or through the cash payment in SBI branch.
  • Go through the “Center Selection” link.
  • Choose the exam center and click on “Submit” button.

 Step-3: Upload Scanned Images

  • Click on the “Photo & Signature Upload” section.
  • Choose and upload the scanned images of photograph & signature in the prescribed format.
  • Click on “Continue” button.

 Step-4: Accept Declaration & Print Application Form

  • Click on the “Agreeing to Declaration” option.
  • Read the declaration carefully and click on “I have read declaration & agree”.
  • Now candidates will be able to take the printout of the application form.

NDA 2020 Exam Pattern

  • The NDA exam will be offline
  • There will be MCQ type questions in NDA exam.
  • There will be a penalty for each wrong answer.
  • The applicants will have to use only black ball pen to marks their answers.

The examination will have 2 parts- Mathematics & General Ability Test.
