Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is a self reliant entity at the request of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks in 1984. IBPS was established in the year 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS). Every year IBPS is engage in the activities of filling the requisite positions for various posts like clerical, PO, State Bank and RRBs and SO posts in nationalized banks. Candidates must go through the IBPS RRB Exam Pattern 2018 just to get a clear cut idea of the structure of the examination. IBPS will release the notification regarding for the recruitment of RRB in the public sector bank. IBPS RRB Exam Pattern defines and structure of the question papers which includes of no. of questions, marking scheme, negative marking, duration of the examination etc.

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern 2018: Selection Procedure
The selection of the candidate will be based on certain selection procedure.
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer Scale-1
- Preliminary Exam: Carries 80 Marks (Objective Type)
- Main Exam: Carries 200 Marks (Objective Type)
- Interview: Carries of 100 Marks (officer scale-1 only)
For Officer Scale-2 (General Banking Officer and Specialist Cadre) & Officer Scale-3
- Written Exam: Which will be of Objective Type carries 200 marks
- Interview: Carries of 100 Marks
IBPS RRB Exam Pattern 2018 for Preliminary Exam:
- Type of questions: Only objective types of questions will be asked.
- Mode: Conducted through online mode i.e. through computer based.
- Sections: The question paper constitutes of 2 sections i.e. Reasoning and Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude.
- of questions: Exam paper consists of 80 questions for 80 marks.
- Duration: Duration of the exam would be of 45 minutes.
- Negative Marking: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

- Type of questions: Only objective type of questions will be asked in the examination.
- Mode: the examination will be conducted through online mode.
- Sections: The question paper consists of 5 sections, they are: Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness, English & Hindi Language and Computer Knowledge.
- of questions: question paper consists of 200 questions for 200 marks
- Duration: The duration of the examination is of 2 hours.
- Negative Marking: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern 2018 for Interview
The interview will be organized for three posts such as:
- Officer Scale-1
- Officer Scale-2 (General Banking Officer) / Officer Scale- 3
- Officer Scale-2 (Specialist Cadre)
- Qualified candidates in the main examination will be called for the interview round.
- The interview round carries of 100 marks.
IBPS RRB Cut Off 2018
- The RRB cut off will be set and released by IBPS.
- In order to get shortlisted for the final recruitment round, candidates will have to secure the minimum required marks in the RRB written exam.
- Candidates will be required to obtain minimum marks in each section as well as the overall in written exam.
