Eligibility Criteria
The DRDO 2023 aspirants must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the same. So, all the major eligibility requirements are given below:
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to appear in the DRDO 2023 entrance exam.
- Besides this, the upper age limit to apply for DRDO recruitment is 28 years.
- Also, the applicants must have passed their first year’s bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized university.
DRDO 2023: Application Form
The aspirants of DRDO 2023 have to start with the application process. So, the application form for the same is available online on the official website. Thus, after visiting the official website, click on the “online form” tab. Later, fill in the required details. Lastly, the candidates must upload scanned photos and signatures with the form.
DRDO 2023: Application Fee
Once all the details in the application form are duly filled, the candidate has to submit the prescribed application fee. It is also submitted online via debit/credit card or net banking. Thereafter, the applicant must take a printout of the application form and submit it to the following address:

Examination Pattern
- The entrance exam for DRDO recruitment 2023 will be three hours long.
- Only objective type MCQs will be asked in which four alternatives will be provided.
- Further, the paper will be divided into two parts, namely, Section A and B.
- In Section-A, a total of 100 questions will be asked and for each correct answer, four marks will be awarded.
- However, one mark will also be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Similarly, in Section-B, 50 questions will be asked evaluating the candidates’ ability for applied research and development.
- Here, each correct answer will be rewarded with two marks.
- But for each wrong answer, 1/2 mark will be deducted.
- Lastly, it is important to know that questions for Section B comprise the following topics:
- Logical relation (10 questions).
- Spatial reasoning (10 questions).
- Concept formation (10 questions).
- Abstract reasoning (10 questions).
- Numerical reasoning (10 questions).
DRDO Recruitment 2023: Admit Card
The admit card for the DRDO recruitment 2023 will be released online on the official website. So, the registered applicants can download it directly from the website and take its printout. Because when the candidate appears at the exam center, he/she must bring the admit card and a photo ID proof. Also, the candidates are not allowed to appear in the exam without a printed copy of the admit card.
The admit card is considered quite important for DRDO 2023 exam because it contains the candidate’s details like name, DOB, test date, time, venue, and signature.
DRDO Recruitment 2023: Result
Once the DRDO 2023 recruitment exam is successfully conducted, the results will be announced online on the official website only. So the applicants can easily check the results following these steps:
- Visit the official website of DRDO, i.e. www.drdo.gov.in.
- Thereafter, click on the results link.
- Later, a PDF file will appear on the screen declaring the result of all the candidates.
- So, the candidates are required to download the PDF file and save a copy of it for future references at the time of admission.
- Lastly, based on the marks gained by the candidates, a merit list will be released.
- So, all the candidates whose name appears on the merit list have to appear for counseling.

DRDO Recruitment Counseling Process
Based on the rank scored by the candidates in the entrance exam, the authorities of DRDO shortlist the eligible candidates. Later, the list containing the names of shortlisted candidates is released on the official website. Also, the shortlisted candidates must have a legitimate GATE score of 2018/2019/2023, within the ratio of 1:5 subjects.
Later, the shortlisted candidates must appear in the counseling round with all the required documents. Because the final admission process depends on the counseling session. So, the counseling for DRDO 2023 will most probably begin in March 2023.
