Steps to Download Merit List

  • Visit the official website of UPSC.
  • Click on the link showing merit list details.
  • Enter your roll number and date of birth and click on ‘Submit’.
  • The merit list 2019 with all the requisite details will appear on the computer screen.
  • Download the Merit List for the Mains examination.
  • Take a print out of the list for future references.

Selection Procedure:

  • Stage 1. Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam: To shortlist candidates for IAS / Civil Services Main examination. This exam will be available for objective type questions.
  • Stage 2. Civil Services (Main) Exam: To shortlist candidates for next level. This exam consists of written examination and personal interview.
  • Stage 3. Final Selection: The total number of marks scored by the candidates in the IAS Main examination (Both written test and personal interview) will be taken into consideration for final merit list.
