APSET 2024: Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) is organized by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. It is conducted to analyze the eligibility for the appointment of Assistant Professors/Lecturers. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a Master’s Degree from a UGC recognized university or college with a min. of 55% marks (50% for the Reserved Category) in their Master’s Degree
- The Candidates who are going to appear in the Final year Examinations of their Master’s Degree are also eligible to apply.
- The Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. on 19th September 1991 with a min. of 50% marks can also apply.
- There is no age limit to apply for this exam.
APSET 2024 Application Form
The application form will be available in online mode only on the official website of the authority. Candidates should note that applications received through any other mode will not be entertained by the examination authority under any circumstances. The aspirants can fill and submit the application form via online mode only. Candidates can make the payment of application fees through online mode only. After the payment, the application form will be completed.
Application Fee
- During the submission of the application form, there will be a specified amount of fee that the candidate has to pay.
- General Category: Rs.1200.
- BC category: Rs.1000.
- SC/ST and PH category: Rs.700.
- Applicants can pay the fee through any medium be it debit or credit cards, Bank Challan, etc.
Exam Pattern
- The exam will be held in offline mode.
- The exam comprises three separate papers which will consist of multiple-choice type questions (MCQs).
- 2 marks will be given for each question.
- The medium of the Question Paper will be English & Telugu.
- There will be no negative marking.
- Aspirants can check the examination pattern from the table below.

Cut off
The candidate who appears for AP SET can qualify if they meet the cut-off marks. Candidates can see the full list of cut-off according to category & Subject wise.
APSET 2024 Admit Card
All the applicants get admit card a week before the exam. The admit card will only be available for online download. Candidates can download the hall ticket from the official website of the authority. The authority will not send the admit card to any individual via post or email. The admit card will comprise important details regarding the examination schedule and venue. Without a valid hall ticket, no candidates will be allowed to sit for the exam. Candidates must bring the admit card along to the examination center on the day of the exam.
AP SET 2024 Result
The applicants who appeared in the exam can check there result online from the official website of the conducting authority. Andhra University announced the result most likely in July. Those who qualify for the exam will be considered eligible for an appointment at the post of Assistant Professors/ Lecturers.

Paper 1, & Paper 2. may I know that in 2019 how many papers will be their.
As per the revised rules from 2018. Every subject will be having two papers. Where Paper 1 is General for all candidates and Paper 2 will be tested in Concerened Subject.
