Eligibility Criteria
- Different educational qualification is required for different posts which will be available in the official notification.
- Applicants should also have sufficient knowledge of Tamil on the date of notification.
- The age limit is 18 to 30 years for general category candidates.
- There is no maximum upper age limit for SC/ST/BC/MBC reserved category candidates.
TNPSC Group 2 Exam 2023 Application Form
Applicants should apply online on the official website www.tnpsc.gov.in. Register one time and then start submitting the online application form. The candidates are required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 150 to confirm the registration. Upload the scanned copy of the photograph, certificates, and signature on the portal. Click on the ‘apply online’ button and use the same user ID and password created above. After submitting the online application form, take a printout, and save the application for any future reference. There is no need to send the application form to the concerned department but keep it safe for any future reference. The already registered candidates for the One Time Registration system are exempted from paying the registration fee. Registration fee is mandatory for one-time registration and it’s valid for 5 years. The online mode of payment can be done by debit card, or credit card.
Exam Pattern
- The prelims exam is a qualifying written exam.
- A minimum of 90 marks is required to qualify for this exam.
- There will be 2 sections in the exam with 200 objective-type questions.
- The exam will be 300 marks.
- The total time duration will be 3 hours.
- The exam is bilingual and available in both the English and Tamil languages.

- The age limit is 18 to 30 years for general category candidates.
- Candidates can apply on the official website i.e. www.tnpsc.gov.in.
- 90 marks are the minimum qualifying cut-off marks for the prelims exam.
- Make a study plan and start preparing according to the plan to easily clear the exam.
