Educational Qualification
- Candidate Must possess the bachelor’s degree from the recognized university.
- For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only: Male candidates must carry a valid Driving License for motor cycle and car during physical endurance test, otherwise they will not be allowed to undergo physical endurance test.
Age Limit
To apply for SSC SI CAPF 2017, candidate age must be Minimum age- 20 years and Maximum age-25 years.

Nationality
- Must be the citizen of India or subject to Bhutan or Nepal
- Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- A person(Indian origin) who migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African Countries such as Uganda, Kenya the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Zambia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Note- Candidates are required to show their proof eligibility certificates which are issued by the government of India.

Medical Tests- For all Posts
- Eye Sight– Without wearing specs the distant vision should be 6/9 and the minimum distant vision must be 6/6.
- Candidate should not have flat foot, Knock Knee varicose vein or squint in eyes and must possess high colour vision.
- Candidates should be in a good mental condition and free from any physical defect.
