UPSC NDA Age Limit 2020
- The date of birth accepted by the Commission will be the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
- A certificate recognized by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University which must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificates.
- Only after the declaration of the result of the written part of the examination these certificates are required to be submitted.
- No other document will be accepted relating to age like horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporation, service records.
- Candidates should also note that once a date of birth has been claimed by them and entered in the records of the Commission for the purpose of admission to an Examination.
- The candidates should exercise due care while entering their date of birth in the respective column of the Online Application Form for the Examination.
- No change will be allowed subsequently or at any subsequent examination on any ground whatsoever.
- Disciplinary action will be taken against them by the Commission under the Rules if on verification at any subsequent stage any variation is found in their DOB from the one entered in their certificate.
UPSC NDA 2020 Age Limit
- For NDA (1) 2020: The candidates are eligible for the examination possessing age between 2nd July 2001 to 1st July 2004. Not eligible for NDA (1) 2020 exam if born before 2nd July 2001 and after 1st July 2004.
- For NDA (2) 2020: Candidates are permitted to write the exam having age between 2nd January 2002 to 1st July 2005.
Marriage condition
- Girls are not allowed for the NDA entrance examination. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA examination.
- Candidates must undertake not to marry until they complete their full training.
- A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application though successful at this or any subsequent Examination will not be selected for training.
- A candidate who marries during training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the Government.
Other Eligibility Criteria
Nationality criteria
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen/a subject of Bhutan or Nepal.
- A Tibetan refugee who came here before 1st January 1962 with the intention to settle here permanently.
Educational Qualification Required
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination conducted by State Education Board/University, for Army wing.
- Aspirants must have passed 12th Class with Physics and Mathematics subject from any State Board/University, for Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy.
- Candidate appearing in the 12th class exam can also apply.
Physical Standard required
- Applicant must be physically sound in respect of the physical standard prescribed by National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination 2020.
UPSC NDA Age Limit 2020: Conclusion
- If you are born before 2nd July 2001, you are not eligible for NDA 1 2020. For example, if your DOB is 01 July 2001, you are not eligible.
- If you are born before 02nd Jan 2002, you are not eligible for NDA 2 2020. For example, if your DOB is 01 Jan 2002, you are not eligible.
My age is now 16+and i have passed the 10TH exam and my date of birth is 19th June 2001 . And for joining the air force i have to qualify 12th exam by taking physics and mathematics . So by clearing 12th exam my age will be 18+ near 19 only ,so can i then give the exam for NDA
