IGNOU Ph.D Admission 2023: NTA releases the application form for IGNOU Ph.D Admission for the coming session. The Indira Gandhi National Open University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1985. The university offers need-based academic programs by giving professional and vocational orientation to the courses. UNESCO declared IGNOU as the largest institution of higher learning in the world in 2010. The university provides admission in various courses such as Ph.D., Master’s, Bachelors, Post Graduate Diploma, Diploma, and Certificate Programmes. Last date for submission of the online application 3rd week of December 2022
Last date for successful transaction of Examination Fee

Life Sciences An MPhil or an MSc degree in Life Science or related area from a university or a recognized institution 2 years
Journalism & Mass Communication Master’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with 55 % marks and an MPhil from any recognized University or Master’s Degree with 55 % marks in any subject, with five years experience in the Media Industry/Teaching/Research in Mass Communication 2 years
Mathematics A Master’s degree in mathematics and related areas with a minimum of 55 % marks (50 percent marks for SC/ST/PH candidates) 2 years
Geology Postgraduate in the relevant area of discipline with minimum 55% in Geology / Applied Geology / Earth Science / Marine Geology / Hydrogeology of any recognized university with M.Phil or 5 years relevant research/teaching/ professional experience 2 years
Biochemistry Candidates possessing a Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% (50% marks for SC/ST/PH candidates 2 years
Physics M.Phil degree in Physics and a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% (50% marks for SC/ST/PH candidates) 2 years
Translation Studies M.A. in Translation Studies (or in a relevant subject) with 55% marks. In the case of SC/ST candidates, there is a relaxation of 5% 1 year

IGNOU Ph.D Admission Process

  • The Admission Forms can be submitted online through Online Admission System at http://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in.
  • Students are required to create their user ID and password for logging in to the system and upload the required documents along with the submission of the Admission Form.
  • The program fee can be paid online using the Payment Gateway.
  • There is no need to send the printed copy of the Admission Form to the Regional Centre.
  • A message is sent on the mobile number and email ID registered with the System once admission is confirmed.

Application Fee

  • The application fee is Rs.1000/- (for candidates belonging to General/ OBC)
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST/EWS, the application fee is Rs.800/-

Hall Ticket

  • The admit card can be downloaded from the University’s website www.ignou.ac.in.
  • University issues Examination Hall Ticket to the students at least two weeks before the commencement of the Term-end Examination.
  • Students can download the hall ticket from the website in case any student fails to receive the Examination Hall Ticket.

  15. Sir I want admit in Phd in Dairy Science, but Your website creates many types problems.
    1. Why are not enlisted Agriculture Subject in Bachelor Program.
    2. same as problem crates in Master program.
    Please enlist immediately Agriculture and their alliance in Bachelor & master program for Phd admission 2020-2021 because your last date is 28/02/2021.
