Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria are decided by the National Testing Agency. Also, there are certain academic parameters for the IGNOU MBA program for which the aspiring student must have secured the required marks in bachelor’s degree. Hence, only those students who meet this academic parameter along with other eligibilities can appear in the IGNOU OPENMAT examination.
Educational Qualification
- The general category candidate for IGNOU OPENMAT MBA must secure at least 50% marks in academics. Besides this, the specific CGPA for qualifying for the degree is also required.
- However, for the SC, ST, PWD category candidates, the minimum required marks along with the CGPA is 45%. Thus, only the students fulfilling this criterion in academics are eligible to give the IGNOU OPENMAT MBA entrance exam.
Age Criteria
There is no certain age limit set for the candidates for the IGNOU OPENMAT 2024. Thus, candidates from all age groups can apply for admission in IGNOU for MB courses.
IGNOU OPENMAT Application form
The application form will be released online by the NTA. The candidates can start the procedure of application filling from the 3rd week of February. Therefore, the candidate must keep all the relevant documents ready beforehand. Besides this, the IGNOU also provides a correction window for the candidates for the documents submitted while filling out the application.
Documents required
The details of the documents required along with the IGNOU OPENMAT 2024 application form are given below. Therefore, the candidate must upload these documents in the specified format as given below:

Note: The photograph that is uploaded along with the application form must be taken on 7th February or after this date. Moreover, the photograph must contain the candidate’s name and the date on which the photo has captured. Besides these documents, the candidate must also possess these documents at the time of form filling:
- As like Adhar card for the government id proof.
- Voter card

IGNOU OPENMAT Application Procedure
- The candidates must follow the official registration link to get registered first.
- Fill in all the required details as asked in the IGNOU OPENMAT application form.
- Later, the scanned copies of required documents must be uploaded along with the application form.
- Thereafter, test cities for taking admission are selected by the candidate.
- Now, the applicants are required to submit the application fee as per their category.
- Finally, hit the submit button.
- Once the submission is completed, the applicants must download the filled-in application form. Also, it can be printed out to be used for future purposes.
Application form fee
The application fee for the IGNOU OPENMAT 2024 is fixed by the University, i.e Rs. 800. Hence, the student can submit the application fee online using net banking, credit card, or debit card facility. However, if the candidate belongs to UR, OBC, ST, or SC EWS, then he/she has to pay only 600/- for the application procedure.

IGNOU Result 2024
Once the IGNOU entrance exam is successfully conducted, the NTA releases the results for the same on the official website. Hence, for checking results, the candidate has to fill the specified fields as application number, date of birth, and security pin on the website. Thereafter, the result will be displayed. Also, students can download the result.
