IBPS SO Exam Pattern | IBPS SO Exam 2015 | Specialist Officer Exam
IBPS is going to conduct IBPS SO examination 2015 for the recruitment in numerous posts in public sector banks, such as RBI, SBI etc. IBPS will decide the examination pattern for IBPS SO 2015 examination shortly.
The examination pattern will be different for Scale I and Scale II Officers. As per the traditional pattern of IBPS SO examination there are four sections – Reasoning, English Language, Professional Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude or General Awareness. The first three sections remain same in both Scale I and Scale II Officers but the last section depends on the type of the post. For Scale I Officer Category the fourth section will be General Awareness with special focus on Banking, whereas for Scale II Category its Quantitative Aptitude. The IBPS has not specified any kind of changes in the examination pattern, hence the pattern will mostly be remain same.

Duration of IBPS SO Exam
The IBPS SO 2015 examination pattern will have four sections and every section will have 50 questions. The duration of examination will 2 hours and it will be online examination.
Examination structure for Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I) and Law Officers (Scale I and II)
- English Language – This section contains 50 questions for total of 25 marks.
- Test of Professional Knowledge – This section contains 50 questions for total of 75 marks.
- Reasoning – This section contains 50 questions for total of 50 marks.
- General Awareness – This section contains 50 questions for total of 50 marks.
Examination structure for Agricultural Officer, Technical Officer, IT Officer, HR Officer and Marketing Officer
- English Language – This section contains 50 questions for total of 25 marks.
- Test of professional Knowledge – This section contains 50 questions for total of 75 marks.
- Reasoning – This section contains 50 questions for total of 50 marks.
- Quantitative Aptitude – This section contains 50 questions for total of 50 marks.
Important Notes about IBPS SO Exam 2015
- All the four section will be bilingual i.e. both in Hindi and English (except English Language).
- The question will be objective type OR MCQs. Generally there will be 5 options for each question.
- There will be a negative marking OR penalty of 25% for each wrong given answer.
- If a candidate does not answer any question, the marks will neither be deducted nor allotted to that particular question.
- If a candidate scores in fraction then the marks will be rounded off to the nearest %.
- Once the examination is conducted, a cut off list of appeared candidates will be published.
- The CWE appeared candidates will be called to attend interview that will be for 100 marks. In PI candidates have to score at least 40% in order to qualify in IBPS SO 2015 (For SC/ST/PWD candidates it will be 35% marks).
