IBPS SO 2017 / IBPS Specialist Officer Exam

IBPS SO 2017: The IBPS SO examination will be tentatively held in January 2017 and after that the results will be declared very soon on the official website of IBPS. The appearing candidates will be able to check their cut off and examination result from the official website of IBPS. The final selection will be done on the basis of cumulative performance of written examination and PI of the candidates. The candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks. The cut off scores will be decided based on the number of vacant posts for shortlisting the candidates for PI.

The IBPS SO recruitment procedure consists of 4 stages- CWE (Common Written Examination) and PI (Personal Interview). PI will be followed by document verification and final allotment. The candidates have to qualify all these stages to get recruited.

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification

• The candidates must have completed MBA in marketing for the post of marketing officer.
• The candidates must have completed graduation in agriculture/horticulture/agro-engineering/agro-forestry for the post of agricultural officer.
• The candidates must have completed B.Tech OR M.Tech in IT/CSE/ECE/Telecommunication for the post of IT Officer.
• The candidates must have completed graduation with LLB degree for the post of Law officer.
• The candidates must have completed graduation & post-graduation in social work/labour law/HR/HRD.

Age limitation- The candidates must have aged between 20 to 30 years.

Age relaxation- The age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years, for OBC is 3 years, for PWD is 10 years and for original domicile of Kashmir/1984 Riot affected people & Ex-servicemen (other military persons).

Application procedure

The interested candidates can apply online from the official website of IBPS for SO 2017. The candidates have to fill all the required details and submit the applications to get the candidature.

The candidates also have to upload scanned images of their recent photograph and signature. The scanned images have to be uploaded in the accurate format with correct size mentioned in the official website of IBPS.

The candidates also have to pay the application fee to complete the application procedure. The application fee for SC/ST/PWD is Rs. 100/- and for all other categories is Rs. 600/-.

Selection procedure

The selection procedure of IBPS SO 2017 consists of following stages- online written examination and Personal Interview. The online written examination will be of 200 marks and PI will be of 100 marks.

Cut Off marks

The cut off marks will be different for both written examination and PI. Cut off marks will say that whether a candidate is qualified for the written examination and PI or not.
