HPCET 2023: HP Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University. It provides admission to Undergraduate Engineering courses in different institutes/colleges of states. This exam conducted in offline mode. JEE Main qualified candidates eligible for direct admission. Eligibility criteria
- All Candidates must have a pass at 12th class with no less than 45% from a well-known board.
- They should pass the exams for Physics and Mathematics as important subjects with one of the following, which is optional, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational and Biology.
UG Courses
- B.Tech: Candidates must have passed 12th class or its equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the.
- Must have 45% marks in subject Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology subject securing at least in the above subjects taken together.
- 40% in the case for candidates belonging to the reserved category.
- B.Pharm: Candidates must have passed 10+2 exam from a recognized institute with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually.
- B.Pharm (Ayurveda): From a recognized Board all candidates must have passed 12th class examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 45% marks (candidate who belonging to reserved category must have 40% marks) in the above subjects taken together.
PG Courses
- M.Tech: A Recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field obtaining at least
- Must have 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category).
- M.Pharm: Candidates pass the 12th class or graduation from a Recognized Bachelor in Pharmacy or equivalent degree.
- at least 55% marks in the qualifying Examination (50% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category).
- MBA: Reserved category Candidate must have 45% marks in Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years’ duration with at least 50% marks at the qualifying Examination.
- MCA: From a recognized University candidate must have Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years’ duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level.
- At least 50% marks and 45% marks in case of candidate belonging to the reserved category at the qualifying Exam.
- M.Sc. Physics: Candidates who have passed bachelor’s degrees in science with at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories) in aggregate in the three years of degree or honors in the subject concerned i.e. Physics.
- M.Sc. Environment Science: Candidates must have passed a three-year B.Sc. degree with Botany, Zoology/Biotechnology and Chemistry or B.Sc. Non- Medical with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories) in aggregate in the three years of the degree.
HPCET 2023 Application Form
The application form of HP CET 2023 will be available on 1st week of March 2023 & the candidates can be filled application form until the 4th week of April 2023. Application fee
- By using net banking candidates can pay, the fee is about RS 1550/ with help of Debit card/credit card or e-Chillan.
- It is non-refundable or transferable.

HPCET 2023 Counselling
Based on their merit marks Applicants will be shortlisted for counseling which is HPCET or JEE main depending upon the entrance exam which they are applying for admission. Applicants will have to bring their necessary documents for verification during the counseling session. By the merit list or rank given for the HPC subjects to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria, The B.TECH applicant’s courses will be made.
