Haryana Polytechnic 2019 [DET] Exam Date, Application Form, Pattern

Haryana Polytechnic admission regulated by the respective authority Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) every year. The authority will organize Haryana Polytechnic Entrance Test 2019 to offer admissions to the various polytechnic courses in the field of engineering and pharmacy. Candidates can apply for admission in 1st year of Engineering & Pharmacy or admission to 2nd year of the engineering programme. For first-year polytechnic courses, there will be no entrance test for admission. However, candidates have to appear in the entrance exam organized by HSTES for lateral entry. For Diploma (Engineering & Technology):

Starting of Online Registration 3rd week of April 2019
The closing of Online Registration 3rd week of June 2019
Starting of Documents Verification at Designated Center 1st week of May 2019
The closing of Documents Verification at Designated Center 3rd week of June 2019
Merit List Display Starts 4th week of June 2019

For Diploma Engineering (Lateral Entry):

Starting of Online Registration 3rd week of April 2019
The closing of Online Registration 2nd week of May 2019
Availability of Admit Card 3rd week of May 2019
Date of Exam 4th week of May 2019
Result Declaration 1st week of June 2019

Eligibility Criteria

For Diploma Engineering (3 years):

  • Aspirants should have done 10th/SSC examination from a recognized board with Mathematics & science subjects with scoring minimum of 35% marks for general candidates and 33% marks for candidates from SC/ST/KM category.
  • There is no age limit.

For Lateral Entry in Diploma Engineering:

  • Applicants should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with PCM subjects from a recognized board.
  • Candidates must obtain at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • No provision of age limit apply

Haryana Polytechnic 2019 Application Form

Candidates can register through online mode from our website from June 2019. The print copy of the filled application form is to be sent to the nearby collection centre or HSTES, Panchkula along with the self-attested copy of all the relevant documents & fee receipt.

Application Fee

  • Candidates have to submit Rs. 500 as an application fee.
  • The application fee is Rs. 200 for reserved category.
  • The fee can be paid through online (credit card/debit card/net banking).
  • The fee can also be paid through e-Challan.

Exam Pattern

  • Mode of examination: Offline mode (pen-paper mode)
  • Type of Question: Objective types
  • The language of exam: Both English & Hindi language
  • Total number of questions: 100
  • Duration: 1 hour 40 minutes
  • Marking scheme: +1 mark for each correct response and there is no provision of negative marking

Admit Card

  • Admit Card for engineering lateral entry will be released online probably in the month of May 2019 and can be downloaded from the official website of authority.
  • No other mode will be entertained to receive the admit card, except online.
  • Without having a valid admit card, candidates are not allowed to enter in the examination centre.

Result

  • Most likely in May 2019, the conducting body will announce the result of Haryana DET (LE) exam.
  • The board will not send a result card/ Haryana Polytechnic Rank Card to any individual via post.
  • Candidates their result through online mode those who appeared in the DET (Lateral entry) 2019 exam can check.
  • Selected applicants will be invited for the counselling process.

Counselling

  • The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks scored in the qualifying examination.
  • The authority will select the candidates for counselling on the basis of the merit list.
  • Counselling will be organized in online mode only.
  • From the official portal, candidates can check the schedule, counselling fee and other details regarding counselling.
  • Applicants have to fill course choices & colleges as per their choice, at the time of counselling.
  • On the basis of inter-se-merit & filled choices, the final allotment of seats will be done.

Haryana Polytechnic Admission Process

  • Applicants should report at the allotted Institution after the completion of seat allotment process to confirm their seat.
  • During admission, candidates are required to bring their original documents.
  • The seat will be cancelled in case the applicant is not present to the allotted college/institute as per the given schedule.

Syllabus

  • The syllabus will be covered the topics of 10th level from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) & Haryana Board.
