GADVASU Admission 2023 Application Form

Before starting your application process, candidates are advised to read the prospectus and eligibility criteria carefully. Your application is rejected & the application fee will not be refunded if you’re not eligible. You will get a unique Application ID (can be used in all future communications with GADVASU), after you have completed the application and made payment. Make sure you have the card details ready before starting the application process to pay the application fee. Candidates will be required to upload the scanned images of your photograph, signature, and left thumb impression of size less than 500 KB each.

Eligibility Criteria

For UG Admission

For B.V.Sc. & A.H.: Minimum education of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized Indian Board/University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST & BC categories) excluding optional subject.

For B.F.Sc.: Minimum education of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized Indian Board/University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST & BC categories) excluding optional subject.

For B.Tech.: Minimum qualification of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English from a recognized Indian Board/University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST & BC categories) excluding optional subject.

For PG Admission

For M.V.Sc.

• Veterinary Science: B.V.Sc. & A.H. or equivalent degree.
• Animal Biotechnology: B.V.Sc. & A.H. and to M.Sc. (Biotechnology) the program shall be B.Sc.(Biotechnology/Medical) or B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology and Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree.
• Both the above qualification should be with a minimum OCPA/OGPA of 6.00 (out of 10.00) or at least 60% marks in aggregate.

For M.Sc.

• Biotechnology: B.V.Sc. & A.H. and to M.Sc. (Biotechnology) the program shall be B.Sc.(Biotechnology/Medical) or B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology and Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree.
• Dairy Economics: B.Tech.(Dairy Technology)/ B.Sc. Dairying/B.Sc. Dairy Science/B.Sc. Agri./B.Sc. Agri. Hons./B.Sc. or B.A. Hons. in Economics with Mathematics as one of the subject/B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.V.Sc./B.Sc. Animal Science.
• Both the above qualification should be with a minimum OCPA/OGPA of 6.00 (out of 10.00) or at least 60% marks in aggregate.

For M.F.Sc.

• Fishery Science: B.F.Sc. (4-year degree program) from a recognized institute.
• The above qualification should be completed with a minimum OGPA of 6.00 (out of 10.00) or at least 60%marks in aggregate.

For M.Tech

• Dairy Technology: B.Tech. (Dairy Technology)/B.Tech. (Food Tech.) (4 years degree) or equivalent degree.
• Dairy Engineering: B.Tech. (Dairy Technology)/Food Engineering/Agricultural Engineering (4 years degree) or equivalent degree.
• Dairy Microbiology: B.Tech. (Dairy Technology)/B.Tech. (Food Tech.) (4 years degree) or equivalent degree.
• All the above qualifications should be with a minimum OCPA/OGPA of 6.00 (out of 10.00) or at least 60% marks in aggregate.

For Ph.D. Admission

• Fisheries: 70% in Master’s level degree (M.F.Sc.) in respective/related discipline and 55% in B.F.Sc. (4-year degree program).
• Animal Biotechnology: 70% in Master’s degree in Animal Biotechnology/Veterinary Biotechnology/Biotechnology/Any branch in Veterinary Science/Life Sciences and 55% in B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.Sc. (Biotechnology/Medical) or B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Microbiology & Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree.
• Veterinary Science: Minimum OGPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent at Master’s level and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 or equivalent at Bachelor’s level.

Application Fee

• The application fee for CET-GADVASU is Rs. 7000/-
• The application fee for Masters’ and Ph.D. programs for online application is Rs. 7500/-
• The application fee for ICAR/ VCI/ Govt. nominee/Other States Rs. 2500/-
• Students filling the Online Application can pay the application fee through an online payment mode (Debit Card / Credit Card/ Net Banking).

GADVASU Admission Process

For Undergraduate Programmes:

• Based on the score/marks obtained in the entrance test, a consolidated merit list of the eligible candidates shall be prepared.
• The result of the entrance test (CET-GADVASU) will be available on the university website (www.gadvasu.in).
• The counseling will be conducted merit-wise as per schedule.
• The admission will be made strictly merit-wise.

For Masters & Ph.D. Programs:

• Candidates resident of Punjab for admission to Master’s programs will be considered in the respective discipline as opted-in ICAR AIEEA-PG on the basis of merit of AIEEA-PG entrance examination conducted by the ICAR, New Delhi including for reserved categories.
