School Education and Sports Departments, Government of Maharashtra conduct admission to First Years Junior College. Department offers admission to the students who have passed the class 10th examination from a recognized board and now applying for the first-year college in different streams. FYJC 2023 offers admission in four streams, Science, Arts, Commerce, and HSVC. Students who belong to the non-state board like CBSE, ICSE, and NIOS must fill the Part A of the form. Those students who do not secure admission by paying fees on the day, date, and time specified will lose their claim for admission. No claim in this respect will be entertained later for any reason .candidates are advised to submit the fully filled application form before the last date of application.

Eligibility
- Candidate must have passed class 10th or SSC or equivalent exam with English as one of the core subjects.
- For admission to bifocal subjects, a candidate must have opted General Mathematics in class 10th subjects.
- To get admission in the science stream candidate must have secured 35% marks in the 10th class.
- Constitutional reservation is applicable for Maharashtra domicile students,
- A foreign student must fill all the eligibility conditions, and submit a duly filled Appendix “A” form.

FYJC 2023 Application Form Process:
- Candidates can apply by both of the modes, Online, and Offline. The only dully-filled application form will be entertained.
- The online admission process for FYJC classes is applicable to all the recognized higher secondary school /junior schools in all six corporation areas and their participation in this process is compulsory.
- For A.T.K.T students a special round will be conducted separately.
- Online mode of application is also available for the ease of students. Before applying online, it is advisable that the students obtain an information booklet from their respective schools by paying Rs. 150.
- The candidate must read all the guidelines given in the booklet.
- Enter the login ID and Password.
- Complete the ‘Part 1’refgistration where you have to fill in all the personal details.
- In part 2, you have to choose 10 colleges of your choice as options.
- Allocation of seats will be based on the number of seats vacant in the respective board.
- As per rules candidates can choose only one stream.
- Students are required to submit the following documents:
- A duly filled in pre-admission form.
- One attested copy of the standard 10th class certificate.
- One attested copy of the school leaving certificate.
- Students seeking admission under the linguistic (Sindhi) minority quota are required to submit an affidavit on stamp paper of Rs. 100-/ or students seeking admission under any other reservation category are required to submit the relevant certificate.
- The candidate must have passport size photographs and 4 stamp-size photographs.
- Foreign students must submit a duly filled “Appendix A” form.

FYJC 2023 General Instructions
- Submission and acceptance of an application do not mean any assurance of admission.
- Students who have passed class 10th from the non-state board like ICSE, CBSE, NIOS, and IB must fill Part ‘A’ of the application form.
- Non-State board students have to fill up their best five scores in admission forms.
- The subject group of ICSE will be subjected as admission to FYJC.
- The principal reserves the right to make necessary changes in the details of the admission procedure depending on the circumstances prevailing during the days of admission.
- 25% seats of bifocal subjects and HSVC are reserved for the students passing class 10 with subjects V1, V2, and V3.
- In 2nd form, a candidate can change their streams once.
