DTU Ph.D Admission 2023: Delhi Technological University conducts the process for DTU Ph.D Admission. Admission to Full-Time/Part-Time scholars for Ph.D. in various branches of Engineering, Sciences, and Humanities is provided through this process. The application process is fully online. Eligibility Criteria

• A Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Sciences/ Management/Humanities and Social Sciences in a relevant discipline or equivalent is required to apply.
• The above qualification should be passed with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)to be eligible to apply for admission.
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology and having proven research capability may also be considered eligible.
• Such a candidate must be having a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. 5% relaxation in marks at the level of qualifying degree will be given to SC/ST category students.

Part-time applicants will be eligible if

• The candidate should possess the minimum eligibility qualifications for the degree as given as per 5(1).
• The applicant is in a position to complete mandatory course requirements along with regular counterparts.
• The applicant proves to the satisfaction of the University that his official duties permit him to devote sufficient time to research.
• Facilities for research are available at the applicant’s place of work in the chosen field of research or the applicant can spare sufficient time to pursue research in the Department of the DTU on daily basis, residing in the vicinity of the University; and
• He/she will be required to reside at the DTU for a period of not less than 6 months during his admission period for the Ph.D. program.

Other Condition

• For admission as a project fellow at DTU, the candidate may be given administrative clearance to seek admission on a full-time/part-time basis.
• However, he/she must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.
• No relaxation will be given in the screening test.
• Permanent academic staff of the DTU may be given administrative clearance to seek registration on a part-time basis.
• However, the applicant must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.
• The above conditions are subject to recommendations of the concerned head of the department and the approval of the Vice-Chancellor.

DTU Ph.D Admission 2023: Application Form

Candidates can visit the official website to fill the DTU Ph.D Admission. Fill the form by entering the general details. Upload the image and the signature and pay the examination fee. Download the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference. To apply for more than one department, candidates have to fill a separate admission form for each department and pay the fee separately for each form.

Application Fee

• The application fee for Gen/OBC candidates will be Rs.1000/-
• For SC/ST/PWD candidates, the application fee will be Rs.500/-
• Online transaction charges extra as per banking gateway and no registration fee is non-refundable.

Selection Procedure

• The shortlisting of applications for the purpose of screening tests & interviews will be done by respective departments in consultation with the Ph.D. Coordinator nominated by the Vice-Chancellor.
• The university decides the cut-off for the screening test for shortlisting the candidates for the interview.
• The DRC will recommend the names of candidates to the Dean PG, based on the academic record and the performance of the candidates in the interview.
• For valid UGC/CSIR/DST/JRF fellowship holders, foreign students who apply through MHRD, and foreign students under the cultural exchange scholarship program (ICCR), the screening test shall be waived.
• The admission of such candidates will be on a provisional basis.
• All the shortlisted candidates are required to come along with a small PowerPoint presentation on the topic of their interest during the interview.

• Online applications found incomplete in any form will be summarily rejected.

• There is no need to send any part of an application form to DTU by post.
• The candidates are advised to make their own arrangements for traveling and lodging accordingly.
