The admission process for Delhi University Admission is managed by National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University. Eligibility Criteria
For PG courses
- The applicants must have completed graduation in their specific field from any recognized university.
- There is no minimum age limit for admission in PG courses at DU, except for courses regulated by bodies such as Medical Council of India, Bar Council of India, etc.
For UG courses
- The applicants must have qualified 12th of CBSE Board or an equivalent examination.
- The applicants must have scored the minimum marks specified for each course.
For B.Tech course
The applicants must have qualified 12th from a recognized board. The minimum aggregate marks required are as follows (category-wise)-
- General category- 60% in 4 subjects (including mathematics)
- OBC category- 54% in 4 subjects (including mathematics)
- PH category- 55% in 4 subjects (including mathematics)
- Sc/ST category- Passing marks with mathematics as a subject
Delhi University admission 2023 Application Form
NTA conducts entrance examinations for admission. The admission into B.Tech courses will be based on JEE Main. The interested applicants can check the details about application form for different programs below-
- For PG courses: The applicants need to appear DU 2023 examination. 50% of the total number of seats of PG programs will be filled by direct admission of the students of Delhi University and the remaining 50% will be filled through entrance examination. The registration fee is Rs. 500/- for General & OBC (Rs. 250/- for reserved categories).
- For B.Tech courses: For admission in B.Tech the eligible applicants will be selected through the entrance exam. The successful applicants of the entrance exam will be called for a personal interview. The application forms will be available online at the official website of the university from last week of June 2023.
- For UG courses: The applicants have to fill a common Pre-admission form either online or offline for all the categories to get admission in UG program. There will be no entrance exam for admission in UG courses and also there will be no admission form at the college level. There are 2 separate common Pre-admission forms as general/OBC & SC/ST/PWD. After filling the admission forms, the applicants have to submit the same at any of the designated centers of the university.

- Only online payment option will be available for paying the application fee that includes a credit card/debit card/net banking.
Examination Pattern
- The answers have to be marked on Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet.
- There will be separate subjects for each course from which the questions will be asked.
- The question paper for UG and PG courses will include objective-type questions.
- Some of the foreign languages including Persian which have short answer questions.
- The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
- 4 marks will be credited to each correct answer for UG courses and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Admit Card
- The admit card will be available online only on the candidate’s registration account.
- Applicants can download the admit card in the last week of May 2023.
- Admit card will not be dispatched by post.
- The applicants can take the printout of their admit card and must have to bring the same at the examination center.
- Along with the admit card, the candidate has to bring one identity proof.
Answer key
- The answer key for Delhi University PG entrance exam will be published very soon after 24 hours of the examination.
- In case of any discrepancy or error, the applicants are advised to register a complaint within 48 hours from the time of uploading the answer key.
- Candidates can also request OMR Response Sheet (ORS) within 7 calendar days from the declaration of result by paying a fee of Rs. 500/- per paper.

Examination Result
- After successful completion of the PG entrance exam, the examination authority will declare the result in the 1st week of July 2023.
- The results will be based on merit basis.
- The applicants will be called for counseling procedure on the basis of merit list.
Delhi University Admission 2023 Cutoff
- The cut-offs for UG courses will be decided based on 12th standard marks of the school board.
- The cut-offs will be prepared by various colleges affiliated with Delhi University.
- The applicants will be offered admission on the basis of cut-off marks.
Counselling Procedure
- The applicants will be called for PG counselling process based on their scores & ranks in the merit list prepared on the basis of UG score for the direct admission category & on the basis of entrance exam marks for the admission through the entrance exam.
- The counseling process will start after a few weeks of result declaration.
- Once the counseling process is completed, the applicants will have to go through the personal interview.
- The successful applicants of the interview will finally be selected for admission in DU.
