Eligibility Criteria
Primary Level
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- 2-year Diploma in Education. OR
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Upper Primary Level
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- 1-year B.Ed.

CTET 2024: important Points
- The CBSE conducts the CTET examination twice in a year in July and December.
- There will be no negative marking in the CTET 2019 exam.
- The Validity Period of CTET Certificate is of 7 years from the date of declaration of result.
- There is no limit on the number of attempts for appearing in the CTET exam.
- There will be two papers; Paper I and Paper II for CTET exam.
- The CTET Question Paper will be bilingual – Hindi or English.
