CMA Exam Dates 2024
Every year, the CMA exam is conducted several times, for which three exam windows are available as of January/February or May/June, or September/October. It totally depends on the country certification, duration of the course in which the aspirant applies, etc. The CMA examination date for the year 2024 will be soon released by the AIMA.

CMA 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The CMA exam is conducted in three different stages, namely CMA Foundation, CMA Inter, and CMA Final. Only after completion of all three stages, the candidate is presented a CMA credential. However, there are certain eligibility criteria for CMA aspirants to appear in the examination which are given below.
- The candidate appearing in the CMA Foundation Exam must have cleared 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized educational institute.
- For the CMA Inter level exam, the candidate is required to have qualified at the Foundation level.
- Similarly, only the candidate who has cleared the CMA Inter level exam can appear in CMA Final. Also, the CMA Final aspirants must have gained practical work experience.
Moreover, the eligibility requirements for CMA Exam are different in all three conducting countries. So, the CMA-US, UMA-UK, and CMA India will have a different set of eligibility criteria for their aspirants. Therefore, the candidates must meet all the eligibility criteria as set by the board for the CMA exam.

Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree before appearing in the CMA exam.
- However, there is also an opportunity for those candidates who do not have the degree but want to apply for the CMA exam. Such students can take up the exam with the condition of acquiring the degree with seven years of appearing in the CMA exam.
Institute of Management Accountants (IMA)
- Besides these educational qualifications, the candidates must have an active membership of IMA.
- Also, the candidate has to obey IMA’s Statement of Ethical Professional Practice.
Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI)
- There is an active Mutual Recognition Agreement between IMA and ICAI.
- Hence, the members of ICAI, upon paying the annual membership fees of the IMA and the CMA registration fees, can waive off the CMA Exams.
- Also, the CMAs who want to be a member of ICAI can be its part and can also waive off the ICAI Exams.
- Besides this, only the candidate clearing both the parts of the CMA exams is considered qualified.
Required Experience
- The candidate is required to have two continuous years of experience in the field of management accounting and/or financial management.
- However, if a candidate doesn’t have it at the moment, then it can also be gained within 7 years after clearing the exams.
- Besides, a continuous part-time experience of 20+hours a week is also required.
How to Register for CMA Exam 2024
The aspirants for the CMA exam in 2024 can register for it from the official website of the CMA. The candidate must register earlier in order to avoid any problems during the process of CMA registration. However, the deadline for the registration is kept at least 72 hours before the date of the exam.

- Thereafter, pay the annual membership fee for choice of category among Professional, Academic, or Student.
- Once the membership has been taken, the candidate can register for the exam from the official webpage and pay the entrance fee.
- Later, the candidate gets three years to complete both parts of the CMA exam.
- After successful registration, candidates will receive a confirmation mail where details like authorization number(s), testing window(s), and a list of instructions are included.
- Now, the registered candidate can access the Prometric portal and reserve a slot for the exam which suits the best to him/her.

CMA 2024 Examination Fee
The examination fee of CMA Exam 2024 is different for all the categories, i.e. Academics, Professionals, and Students as given below:
For Professionals
- Professionals have to pay 245 USD for IMA membership. While CMA Entrance Fee for them is 250 USD. Also, keep in mind that the entrance fee is non-refundable in nature.
- The examination fee is 415 USD per part and the rescheduling fee for the exam is kept at 50 USD*.
For Academics
- IMA Membership Fee: 135 USD
- CMA Entrance Fee: 188 USD (Non-Refundable)

Note: The rescheduling of the exam is only possible 30 days if applied before the exam, that too, more than 30 days before the exam date. Also, the re-scheduling is applicable for the two months testing window that the candidate has opted for.

Once the CMA exam is conducted successfully, the results will be announced on the official website. Thereafter, candidates can check and download the results online. For this, the candidate has to log in entering the registration number and the password.
