BHU PET 2022 Application Form

BHU PET 2022: Postgraduate Entrance Test is an admission cum entrance test that is conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency) for the candidates, who want to pursue a postgraduate program from Banaras Hindu University. Candidates, who qualify for the entrance test, will be eligible to take admission in the BHU’s PG programs. BHU PET 2022 Application Form

The Application form will be provided on the official website of the university. Candidates need to provide all the details in the application form correctly. Candidates also need to upload the scanned images of their photo and signature in the application form. There will be an application fee, which must be paid to the candidates through credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Eligibility Criteria

Faculty of Arts

• Candidates must have completed relevant B.A. (Hons.)/ B.A under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects

Faculty of Commerce

• Candidates must complete B.Com (Hons.)/ B.Com. under at least (10+2+3) pattern from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects

Faculty of Social Sciences

• Candidates must have completed B.A. (Hons.)/ B.A./B.Sc. (Hons)/B.Sc. under at least 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects

Exam Pattern

• Questions will be from General Mental Ability, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Current Affairs differ from subject to subject.
• The exam will be conducted offline mode.
• For the negative answer to a question, candidates’ 1 mark will be deducted.

Admit Card

• The university will release the admit card on its official website prior to the examination.
• Candidates can download the same from the official website of the university.
• Candidates are advised to take the printout of the admit card and keep it safe till the admission process.

Answer Key

• The answer keys will be available after exam within two weeks’ time.
• After the entrance test, the applicants can avail themselves answer keys of paper on the official portal.
• Candidates can match their answers with the help of official answer keys.

BHU PET 2022 Result

• Candidates can access results probably in the month of May 2022.
• The result will be available online at the official website.
• Successful candidates have to appear in the counselling process for admission on scheduled date and time.
• Candidates are advised to take a printout of the result from the website and keep it safe for further use.

BHU PET 2022 Cut Off

• After the announcement of the result, the cutoff will be determined.
• The cutoff will be announced for each program on the basis of minimum marks criteria as well closing rank of qualified candidates.
• The programme will be offered to candidates on the basis of cutoff.
• Also, admission to any of the PG programs will be on the basis of the cutoff.

Counselling

• Candidates will be called for counseling on the basis of a provisional merit list at the counseling venue.
• For each programme, Banaras Hindu University will adopt computerized counselling procedure from July.
• The counseling schedule will be announced by BHU and will shortlisted candidates will be called as per their rank.
• As per the scheduled date and time, candidates need to attend offline counselling.
• Candidates are required to carry all important documents for official verification.
