AIIMS MBBS Cutoff 2020 is based on many aspects such as the number of seats, the number of candidates, marking scheme of entrance exam and difficulty level, etc. A candidate belonging to SC/ST category have to obtain a minimum of 40% in the entrance exam in order to qualify it while a candidate belonging to General category have to secure a minimum of 50% in AIIMS MBBS and a candidate belonging to OBC category have to score at least 45% to pass it. The exam conducting authority will declare a merit list of the entrance exam consisting of candidate’s name, All India Rank (AIR) and date of birth etc based on the qualifying marks in AIIMS MBBS. According to the past practice, the minimum AIIMS MBBS cutoff is decided by the Governing Body, AIIMS, New Delhi. The minimum cutoff determines the eligibility for admission through the entrance examination is as follows:

Tie-Breaking Criteria
- When 2 or more applicants obtain the same scores (Total Percentile) then their inter merit is determined.
In order to decide the higher rank between the applicants, the following steps are followed:
- Applicants having ranked higher in Biology in the entrance examination will be given preference.
- If there is still a tie, the applicants who have scored higher in Chemistry will be given preference.
- Next, applicants who have scored higher in Physics will be ranked higher
- At last, if there is still a tie; applicants who are senior in age will be ranked higher than the applicants who are junior in age.

Counselling Process
- All applicants will be called in for counseling category wise who have successfully secured the required scores.
- The unreserved category will be called in first followed by the reserved category.
- Seats will be allotted to the applicants after document verification and medical examination.
- Second round and third round of counseling will be held after the conclusion of the first round.
