WB TET 2023: West Bengal Board of Primary Education conducts the WB Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a state-level examination. The test is organized for the recruitment of teachers for Class I – V. WB TET notification will be released soon. The candidates those full fill the eligibility criteria can fill the application form on or before the last date. Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates must clear the Higher Secondary Exam/Senior Secondary Exam (or it’s equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for Reserved Category Candidates) and 2yr Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) passed from an institution recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to the examination body notified by the NCTE.   or
• Passed the Higher Secondary Exam/Senior Secondary Exam (or its equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for Reserved Category Candidates) and 4yr Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).  or
• The candidates must clear the Higher Secondary Exam/Senior Secondary Exam (or its equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for Reserved Category Candidates) and Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).  or
• Graduation and 2yr Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) passed from an institution recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to the examination body notified by the NCTE.
• In the case of the graduate candidates, there are no qualifying marks mentioned.
• There is a relaxation of 45% marks if the candidates belong to the reserved category, so in order to meet the eligibility criteria, they need to attain 45% marks only.

WB TET 2023 Application Form

The application form will be available online at its official website in the month of October 2023. The candidate has to fill the application form online. Fill up all the correct details in the application form and upload required scanned documents like photograph and signature. Eligible candidates should apply online only, there is no other mode to apply. Candidates shall apply online after payment of fee and generation of reference ID. After filling online application, a printout should be generated. Make the payment of your application fees and click on the submit button. Take a printout of your application form for future uses.

Application Fee

• Candidates require to pay Rs.100/- as an application fee.
• For SC/ST category, candidates need to pay of Rs.25/- application fee.

Selection Procedure

• The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Exam.
• Participants also have to go for the Final Round Personal Interview.
• The exam pattern for both papers is given in the next section.

TET Certificate Validity

• All qualified Applicants will have seven year validity period for the TET certificate from the date of result announcement.
• This period is for all category candidates (consisting of both reserved & unreserved categories).

Syllabus

• The applicants who are interested in applying for the West Bengal TET Examination 2023 must know the syllabus of the same.
• For Paper I, the topics like Child Development, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Science will be there.
• For Paper II the topics like Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, etc will be present.
• All the topics must be learned in detail.

WB TET 2023: Important Points

• Candidates have to download the admit card online only.
• Enter the applicant registration number and date of birth for Admit card download.
• Electronic Admit card/Hall ticket will be available on the web portal
• The examination authority will not send the Admit card by post.
• The examination authority will not send the scorecard individually.
• The result shows the candidate Name, marks /Score roll number, exam center, and other information.
• By entering the hall ticket number on the official website, the candidate may get the result.
• The candidate must take the print of the result for future reference.
