Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications Passed class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognized board/university in India with the following subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Diploma in (GNM) General Nursing and Midwifery is necessary from an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
Age limit The minimum age must be 17 years Maximum age limit must be 25 years.

IGIMS Admission Application Process 

  • The application form can be downloaded from the official site http://www.igims.org/
  • Completed Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences application form should be addressed and sent to the address which will be soon declared
  • Incomplete application form in any form will be rejected
  • The application will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be entrained.
  • Those who are willing to apply for Combined Entrance Examination- 2023 (Paramedical & Nursing Courses) may download’ application from)
  • Application received with incomplete information shall be rejected.
  • The application received after the previous date will not be considered. Submission of the filled application form by hand is not allowed.
  • Applicants need to download the Application Form from the Institute website.
  • Applicants are advised to attach a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST) in favor of Director, IGIMS, Patna payable at Patna as the cost of the exam, or else the application shall be considered incomplete and will be rejected.

Marking Scheme Each question will carry an equal mark and there will be no negative mark for a wrong answer.

Admission Process

  • Admission of eligible applicants will be a Merit list to be prepared based on performance in the written Entrance Exam
  • The entrance test will consist of 100(hundreds) multiple-choice questions with a single best answers.
  • All questions will carry equal marks and there will be no negative marking.
  • In the case of two or more candidates securing equal marks, merit will be determined in order of candidates older in age.
  • The result will be published on the notice board/website of the Institute only.
  • Successful applicants need to report for counseling on the date announced on the website.
  • No, further communication will be given by Post/Email/Message.
  • Successful contenders shall undergo medical checkups by the medical board of the Institute only.
  • Medically fit candidates will be finally admitted for the course.
