National Eligibility Test or NET is a national level exam conducted by NTA. The entire procedure will be conducted in online mode only. National Eligibility Test is one of the most important and well-known entrance examinations. The exam is conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship or Assistant Professor Posts for Indian citizens. CBSE conducts UGC NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected cities spread across the country. The exam will be conducted in a single window. Candidates should check the exam pattern carefully before they go to give the exam. They can take a reference to the important books given at the end of this article to prepare.
UGC NET Exam Pattern
- Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions.
- The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
- It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
- Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions.
- The questions will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
- Each question in both the papers will be carrying 2 marks.
