IIMC Entrance Exam 2023: Indian Institute of Mass Communication conducts a university-level entrance exam to offer admission in PG Diploma courses in Journalism. A total of 430 seats are offered across various courses in 6 campuses affiliated to the institute. The exam is conducted in offline (pen-paper) mode. The application forms of the IIMC Entrance Exam 2023 for the journalism program will be released shortly at www.iimc.nic.in. Indian nationals with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline can apply for the examination.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- For NRI/ NRI sponsored candidates, there will be 5 seats available in each course.
- NRIs/NRI sponsored candidates must submit separate application forms for each category.
- Bachelor’ s degree in any discipline is required to apply for IIMC Entrance Exam.
- Appearing candidates in the final year examinations can also appear for the entrance test.
- The admission of such candidates will be subject to their producing at least a provisional certificate in original before 31 August 2023.
- The provisional admission will stand canceled if the candidate fails to produce such a document.
- The date of birth should be August 1, 1995, or later for students from the general category.
- For OBC candidates, the date of birth should be August 1, 1991, or later.
- The date of birth for the SC/ST/handicapped students should be August 1, 1990, or later.

Exam Pattern
- The exam will be a pen-based written test.
- The duration of each exam is 3 hours.
- The medium of the exam depends on the course opted by the candidate.
- PG Diploma in Journalism (Hindi) will have its question paper in Hindi and.
- Question Pattern – The selection of students will be based on written examination.
- 3 Exams have a different type of word limits for the write-ups as shown below.
- The qualified candidates for this exam will be called for group discussion and a personal interview.
- The Interview Rounds will be conducted at Delhi and Dhenkanal (Odisha) campuses.
- The performance of the candidate in both PI and GD will account for the final admission.
- The weight-age division between written exam and GD/PI is 85:15.
