WBJEE 2024: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is conducted in order to provide admissions in the UG Engineering, Pharmacy, and Architecture programs. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) organizes this examination. Candidates can register for this exam only through online mode. By qualifying for this entrance examination, candidates can get direct admission to various private and government colleges within the state. Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidate’s age should be 17 years as of 31.12.2024.
- There is no upper age limit to apply.
For admission to Engineering courses
- Passed ‘10+2’ examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application/Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode.
- At least 45% of marks are required in the above three subjects taken together (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category e.g. SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD).
- Must have passed English in the ‘10+2’ examination with at least 30% marks.
For admission to Pharmacy courses
- Passed ‘10+2’ examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode.
- At least 45% of marks are required in the above three subjects taken together (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category e.g. SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD).
- Must have passed English in the ‘10+2’ examination with at least 30% marks.
- Candidates possessing 10+2 qualifications from non-formal and nonclass room-based schooling such as the National Institute of Open Schooling, open school systems of States, etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B. Pharm. Course.
Application Fee
- The application fee is Rs 700 (Rupees Seven hundred only) for General candidates.
- For SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates, the fee is Rs 500 (Rupees Five hundred only).
- The Examination Fees can be paid by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card only.
- The fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances.
WBJEE 2024 Exam Pattern
- The exam will be held through offline mode (OMR Pattern).
- The whole question paper will consist of 200 marks.
- The question will consist of multiple-choice questions.
- The question paper will comprise of three subjects: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
- A total of 155 questions will be asked in the examination.
- In category- I & category II, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking in category III.

WBJEE 2024 Admit Card
- The admit card will be issued online mode from our website.
- Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall, without admit card.
- The admit card contains all details of the candidates and exam-related necessary instructions.
- Keep the admit card safe till the admission process is not over.
- No duplicate admit card will be provided to the candidates.
Exam Centres
- The exam takes place in many prominent parts of the country including Tripura, Agartala, Assam, and Silchar.
- There can be the case when candidates won’t be allotted with their first choice zone.
- In case if sufficient candidates are unavailable then it can be possible otherwise, IInd choice/ IIIrd choice of the zone would be provided.
WBJEE 2024 Result
- Candidates will be able to check their results online mode.
- The result will be published in the form of Rank Cards.
- The rank card contains all relevant ranks, total score & component scores in Paper-I (Mathematics) & paper-II (Physics & Chemistry).
- The cut-off list will be published by the authority, after the result declaration.
