Uttar Pradesh Teaching Eligibility Test (UP TET) is a state level exam conducted by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). This test is for recruitment of Primary and Upper primary level teachers in various schools across the state. For those who wish to build their career in teaching line, primary teacher (Class 1 to 5) and Secondary teacher Class 6 to 8, UP TET 2020 is a gateway. It is mandatory to qualify UP TET, as it certifies the eligibility of the candidate. Candidate must check all the details regarding UP TET 2020 before applying and must fill the application form before the last date of application. Candidate should be eligible to fill the application form, otherwise his/her application can be rejected at any stage.

UP TET 2020 Eligibility Criteria:
For Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5):
- Candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks in the Intermediate exam.
- Candidate must have completed B.EL.ED or studying in the final year.
- Candidate must have completed or in the final year of D.Ed (Specialization) in an institute recognized by RCI.
- Candidate must have completed or in the final year of BTC/passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- Candidate must have passed Diploma in teaching from Aligarh Muslim University or studying in the final year.
- For Urdu teachers: candidates who have completed their graduation in Urdu stream or those who are Moa-‘ll-e-Urdu degree holders from Aligarh Muslim University before August 11, 1997.
- Candidates who have completed their graduation.
For Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6 to 8):
- Candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks in the Intermediate exam.
- Candidate must have completed B.EL.ED or studying in the final year.
- Candidate must have passed Diploma in teaching from Aligarh Muslim University or studying in the final year.
- For Urdu teachers: candidates who have completed their graduation in Urdu stream or those who are Moa-’llim-e-Urdu degree holders from Aligarh Muslim University before August 11, 1997.
- Candidates who have completed their graduation.
- The candidate who are in final year of B.Ed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- The candidate who are in final year of L.T. in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- The candidate who are in final year of B.Ed in an institute affiliated to RCI.

UP TET 2020 Application Form:
- For the application, the candidate must visit the official website of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBE), upbasiceduboard.gov.in.
- Candidate must read notifications carefully to avoid any problem in future.
- Candidate must create his/her profile on the portal by using valid email id. Here, you must provide personal details.
- In the next step, you must provide educational details such as passed examinations and obtained marks.
- Now, in next step candidate must upload scanned images of signature, photographs, left thumb impression in the given format.
- Next step asks to fill the category of applicant. Fill category from which you belong to. Enter no, if you do not belong to the reserved category.
- Next step is for the payment of the fee. Pay fee as of your category.
- After submitting all details, recheck all details, if satisfied, click on submit button.
- Candidate must take the printout of confirmation page for future references.

UP TET 2020 Exam Pattern:
- UP TET exam will be conducted in offline mode.
- There will two papers; one for those who are applying for the primary teacher (1 to class 5th) and other will be for those who are applying for the teacher for class 6th to 8th.
- The question paper will be of objective type.
- There is no provision of negative marking.
- Each question will be of 1 mark.

Admit Card:
- Candidates can download admit card from official website of authority.
- Applicants can download admit cards by using application number and Date of birth.
- It is must to carry admit on the day of examination.
- No student will be allowed to enter the examination hall without a valid admit card.
- Admit card will carry information like name, father’s name, date and timing of examination, the center of examination and roll number.
UP TET 2020 Result:
- The result of UP TET 2020 will be available on the official website of Authority.
- Candidate can expect result after one month of Examination.
- Candidate can download result by entering the date of birth and roll number.
- Candidate must take the printout of the result.
