Sainik School Ghorakhal Admission 2021: Sainik School Ghorakhal is established by the Sainik school society in 1966 to offer a standard education along with a disciplined system. Sainik School Ghorakhal offers admission to students in class 6^th and 9^th. Admission will be based on the performance in the written test, Interview, and medical examination. For admission, candidates have to appear in the All India Entrance Examination for the academic session 2021-22. The written test is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). The AISEE will be on OMR based system which will have multiple-choice questions.

Eligibility Criteria

For admission to Class 6th:

The candidate’s age should be between 10 and 12 years as of 31 March 2021 for admission to Class VI, i.e. he/she should have been born between 01 April 2009 and 31 March 2011 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2021-22.

For admission to Class 9th:

The candidate’s age should be between 13 and 15 years as of 31 March 2021, for admission to Class IX, i.e. he/ she should have been born between 01 April 2006 and 31 March 2008 (both days inclusive). Admission to Class IX is not open for girls.

How to Apply for AISSEE 2021

The candidates can apply for AISSEE 2021 “Online” only on the website https://aissee.nta.nic.in.The Application Form other than online mode will not be accepted.

Follow the steps given below to Apply Online:

Step-1: Apply for Online Registration using unique Email ID and Mobile No.

Step-2: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application No.

Step-3: Upload the following documents:

• Scanned images of Candidate‟s Photograph (file size: 10 kb – 200 kb) in
  JPG/JPEG format
• Candidate‟s Signature (file size: 4kb – 30kb) in JPG/JPEG format.
• Candidate‟s left-hand thumb impression. (file size 10 kb -50 kb) in JPG/JPEG format. (In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right-hand thumb the impression may be used)
• Date of Birth Certificate
• Domicile Certificate
• Caste/ Community/ Category Certificate
• Certificate of service (for Defence category-serving) and PPO for Ex-servicemen, as applicable. (The certificates as detailed above: Filesize (100 kb to 400 kb) in JPG or JPEG format). (If the information is given or documents uploaded are not correct or incomplete or cannot be corroborated with the required original certificates at the time of  3 admissions, the candidate is liable to be rejected and admission denied to him or her)

Reservation Criteria

67% of the seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in the State/ UT where the Sainik School is located.

33% of the seats are reserved for candidates from the Other States and Union Territories(UT). Within each Category of Home State/ UT and Other States/ UT quota, seats will be reserved on the following lines:

• 15% of the seats are reserved for the category Scheduled Caste (SC),
• 7.5% for the category Scheduled Tribe (ST) and
• 27% for the category Other Backward

Exam Pattern

For Class 6^th

The question paper for the class 6^th exam will consist of 125 questions from the subjects Mathematics, language, GK, Intelligence. The question paper will be of a total of 300 marks and the medium of the examination will be both English and Hindi.

Sainik School Gorhakhal Scholarships

Limited numbers of scholarships are generated by the govt. of Uttarakhand to the cadets of Uttarakhand to the cadets of Uttarakhand domicile. The ministry of defense also provides annual financial assistance to all cadets to the extent of Rs. 15,000-/. Also, it has a scholarship scheme for the wards of defense personnel as mentioned below:-
